JustRite Cling stamps: Forever Friends

Hi Everyone,
We are officially in winter season over here - today was the first day of snowfall.... sigh... I can't believe that summer and autumn is really over... the snowsuits are officially coming out! There is nothing more cozy than hiding out in the craft nook when its cold and snowy outside and making a card.

I pulled out the sweet stamp set called Quiet Moments from JustRite Cling Stamps....It felt so good to stamp a spring time scene during a snowfall :) I wanted to create a night time scene for the fairies looking at the moon and so I started off by coloring the moon with copics and then stamped the fairy scene again separately and after coloring the fairies and flowers, cut them out individually and adhered it ontop of the first one. I added some spica glitter onto the hair and flowers and dresses - I love the way that it glitters n the sunlight. I sponged the edges of the image panel with some Tuxedo Black ink, making it darker around the corners...
There is a separate image of the wings that I stamped on vellum with cardstock and then adhered it to the back of the fairy. Here is a closer image of the fairies and the wings. I finished it off with some liquid pearls and attached the ribbon with glue dots;

Card Ingredients:
Paper: from stash (Bazzill)
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and (Danube Blue)
Accessories: Liquid Pearls (Pewter), sponger, Dimensionals, corner chomper, May Arts Ribbon, Fiskars edger punch, Prima flower, glue dots, spellbinders, spic glitter and copics.

I loved coloring these fairies - there is something definitely relaxing about stamping and coloring - nothing like getting rid of those winter day blues with some stamp therapy! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hope you are having a beautiful one!
hugs,
Sankari :)

JustRite Cling Stamps: Bee Happy

Happy Sunday!

The sun is shining, the skies are blue --so what if its freezing windy 52 degrees F outside, the sun is out the sun is out! I am so not a winter-y girl - I love seeing snow... from inside the house :) and these last few days have been sweater and layers cold with lots of gray skies. So it was so nice to wake up this morning to sunny skies without a single cloud...I was so happy.... bee-happy in fact :) I pulled out my Bee-Ride stamps from the JustRite cling stamp collection and wanted to feel a bit of spring so I made a Bee-Happy card :).

I cut out a circle with my nesties and placed it in the middle of the image panel for the A2 card and then using the two different bee sizes, I stamped them in a circle around the flower. I colored the bees with copics and used a warm gray and light blue for the wings. I finished it off with a bit of spica glitter (hard to see in the pics) on the wings and then used some dimensionals to pop up the daisies in the middle.

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: JustRite Cling: Bee-Ride
Paper: scrap stash (Bazzil black glitter paper)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink with copics
Accessories: EK success punch, nesties, spica glitter, ribbon and bling from stash, corner chomper, twine, sponger, dimensionals and liquid pearls.

I finished it off with a bit of a twine bow over the sentiment: "Bee-Happy" and added a bit of bling and liquid pearls to the card (I really did try to create a card without liquid pearls, but I couldn't resist dotting it up :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you are enjoying your weekend and that your day is bee-utiful! Sorry.... couldn't resist that one either :)
Hugs,
Sankari :)

JustRite Nested Verses: Sent with Love and Rememberance

Hi Everyone,

One thing that I was so happy to do was to have a chance to sneak down to my craft nook and create while everyone was engaged in some other activity! The holiday season has started in full gear and as the Christmas trees started to go up after Thanksgiving dinner, I thought of a couple of friends of mine who have lost their loved ones and that this holiday season is going to be tough for them to go through without their dear ones with them. Its always hard to create a sympathy card - for some reason, it just doesn't seem enough... or the words just don't seem quite right...

I knew that I wanted to use this sentiment: "Sent with love and Remembrance" - from the Sympathy Nested Verses from JustRite Stamps. This sentiment is so simple and perfect because I just didn't want them to think that their loved one was forgotten. I used Julee's gorgeous Mojo Monday sketch #166 for this card. The sentiment was stamped with the Clear Horizontal Stamper onto which I also added the small frame from the Baroque Nested Frames stamp set to create a frame for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment again and then raised it up and popped it over the sentiment area. The frame was colored with copics. I created a rose from the Restoration Paper DP and added a bling to the center. The bottom of the card has liquid pearls at two different angles and the card was finished with black satin ribbon and bling trim.

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Crate Paper, Bazzil and PTI
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and copics
Accessories: Bling from Want 2 Scrap, ribbon from Flourishes, EK success punch, liquid pearls (Cranberry), sponger, corner chomper, sizzix die cuts, black mesh from prima, bling from GCD studios and dimensionals.

I have to make a few more cards and as hard as it is to create sympathy cards, I hope that even if the words inside aren't enough, I hope that they can bring a moment's comfort to someone else. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hope that you and your family have a safe and lovely Thanksgiving weekend!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Don’t forget that JustRite also has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find all of their cling stamp sets HERE.  This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the 2 Sketches 4 You designers! JustRite is sponsoring this week’s 2S4Y #66 sketch challenge.  You can find the fabulous sketch inspiration AND details about the JustRite prize package, by visiting their blog postHERE.
For my project today, I wanted to create a simple little gift set. I love taking something everyday and creating it into a gift - I love all the peppermints that are around this season - from candy canes, to peppermint mochas and my favorite:  little peppermint candies. I decorated a tin with some peppermint candies and created a coordinating card in peppermint colors with kraft.
The beautifully scripted stamp set called: Christmas Nested Sentiments from JustRite Stampers has wonderful sentiments. This stamp set also coordinates with all of the nested frames (including the Christmas Nested Frames). For the tin, I used from this set the sentiment: "May beautiful moments and happy memories, Surround you with Joy this Christmas."  I love this sweet sentiment and since it can be hard to adhere to metal sometimes, I tied the sentiment around the tin by punching some brads and tying it together with some Baker's Twin. On one side I stamped a snowflake from the Sparky and Friends stamp set from JustRite stamps in white onto kraft paper and then adhered it to the side of the sentiment.
Here is a picture of the card. I stamped the snowflakes from the Sparky and Friends Cling stamps from JustRite Stamps in white and then embossed it onto red cardstock :

Here is a close up of the embossing and the snowflake details:

The snowflake that I embossed ontop of the button was with some polysparkle EP for a bit of glitter - its hard to see in the pic but its pretty in the light:

I created the card with these three main colors, red, kraft and white. I had fun creating this card and tried to keep the accessories simple and can't wait to give this little giftset out :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Bazzill (red and kraft), white cardstock from PTI
Stamps:  Christmas Nested Sentiments, Snowflakes are from the: Sparky and Friends stamp set and the Sparky and Friends Cling stamp set from JustRite Stampers
Ink: Memento LadyBug Red and White ink
Accessories: pearlescent EP, corner chomper, liquid pearls, cuttle bug embossing folders, MS snowflake punch (both large and small sizes), bling, dimensionals, Baker's Twine, spellbinders nesties, white gel pen, button from Whirligig, ruffled ribbon from stash.

It was so much fun to make this project and I can't wait to see what everyone has created today!!! Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous JustRite Christmas inspiration they have for you on the hop today!

Pursue Happiness!

Hi Everyone,

Is your week slightly "extra full" as we approach Thanksgiving? All I can say is that things here went from busy to crazy busy! Lots of running around, making lists, crossing off items from said list, grocery shopping and last minute gift shopping! Whew! But the best part of all, is when I have a chance to sneak down and create a little something in my craft nook :) and last night I was so thankful that my DH put the kids to bed so I sat down and this gorgeous set called Discover Your Wings  from Taylored Expressions was totally calling my name. I love the sentiment "Pursue Happiness" - it was so apt this week that in the midst of the hustle and bustle, the main goal is to remember everything that we are thankful for and to share  precious moments with friends and family.

I used Taylor's awesome sketch from the Friday Sketch Challenge #134  and paired it with papers from my August Key Ingredients Kit. If you aren't familiar with the Key Ingredient's program that Taylor offers, you can read about it here - it is a fantastic way to make cards really easily because it is filled with a ton of DP, coordinating cardstock and ribbon and accessories and embellishments that make it a cinch to make one or a bunch of cards.  - Taylor has a Key Ingredient's Gallery for all of the monthly Key Ingredients, so that when you get yours you can check out samples that have been created with that month's kit for ideas! Here is the link for the August Key Ingredients Gallery. I was inspired to make a couple of cards with the beautiful butterfly from this stamp set and kept it pretty simple so that I could make two at the same time.

Here is a close up of the card - The butterfly is paper pieced and the layers are outlined with just a wee bit of liquid pearls :) I also added some glazed dots in the back ground and popped the smallest oval with some dimensionals:

It was so much fun to create these cards and I can't wait to make more!

Card Ingredients:
Accessories: Brown and white stitched ribbon, Inkessentials glaze, Corner chomper, Spellbinders (oval nesties and scalloped ovals), Dimensional pearls (adirondack Lettuce), dimensionals

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Hope that you are having a wonderful day and wishing for you lots of happiness!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #6 from Taylored Expressions

Blast from the Past Blog Hop
Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the 6th Blast from the Past Challenge from Taylored Expressions, where every month customers and fans of TE can sign up for a blog hop where we create something from previously released stamp sets!  This month the theme for the Blast From the Past challenge was to create a card with a theme that is either Autumnal or Thankful. I decided to use the gorgeous stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Celebrate Life . I used the sketch provided for the challenge.

I wanted to create a card to a special friend with whom we won't be able to spend Thanksgiving with this year, so I used the lovely sentiment: "Thinking of You" in the center and stamped the gorgeous leaves in this set around the image panel. After stamping and coloring the pumpkin, I stamped it again and popped it up on dimensionals. I used the October Key Ingredients (you can read more about the Taylored Expressions  Key Ingredients here, where you can get a monthly kit full of coordinating cardstock, DP and ribbon & embellies  - its simply awesome!)) for all of the papers and ribbon for this card.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and leaves. I alternated glazing the leaves  and popped up the sentiment with some dimensionals. I cut a green mat for the circle and curled it around the pumpkin image panel.

Card Ingredients:
Paper: October Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions
Stamps: Celebrate Life from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento LadyBug Red, Tangelo, Cantaloupe, Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Spellbinders, twine, liquid pearls (lettuce), corner chomper, glaze

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I loved making this card - especially because its for my dear friend (and somehow making it got me very excited for some pumpkin pie!)

Check out all the amazing creations on this November Blast from the Past - and Taylor will be drawing one random hopper to receive a FREE Taylored Expressions stamp set of their choice and will also be choosing another creation to be featured in an upcoming TE newsletter - if you didn't have a chance to play along in this hop - no worries - just stay tuned to Taylored Expressions to here more about how to sign up for the next one!!

Happy Thursday!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #11

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the 11th week of JustRite Stampers’  Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops!  Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  Don’t forget that JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find them HERE.  This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the Stampers Dream design team and a few other special guests!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps, so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops!  And in celebration of JustRite’s Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you -- take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 29 -- Don't forget to tell Santa!

For my project today, I created a mini giftset (perfect for giving neighbors or teachers) a card and coordinating mini tin set (that you can fill with mints or other sweet treats).
I used the Sparky the Snowman (cling) stamp set from JustRite Stamps- the sentiments and sweet mitten image are so cute! Here is a close up of the tin - I love the sentiment: "Merry Christmas Dear Friend" - which I created into a mini tag. I tied some ribbon around the handle and then finished it off with some green ribbon.

Here is a picture of the top of the tin - where I decorated it with some DP and finished it off with a snowflake punched out of DP and a small snowflake from this stamp set:

Here is a picture of the card - the image of the mitten totally makes me want to pull out all my wooly things. I paper pieced the mitten with those papers on the card and then finished it with a little bling in the middle of the snowflake. The sentiment is so sweet - it reads: " All bundled up for a warm Holiday Season."

I love having these little giftsets around ready to go! Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous JustRite Christmas inspiration they have for you on the hop today!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

Winter Release Project Parade -Day 1

Hi Everyone,

I am so excited to kick off the Verve Winter Release Project Parade over at the Verve Stamps blog! The theme of this month's Project Parade is "Triple Play" - where the challenge is to create a trio of yumminess! This can be to create three different things that all coordinate (like a bag, a card and a tag) or to create three different cards or three different cards. There are so many different possibilities for a Verve-a-licious trio of yumminess that its hard to choose anyone set, so I thought it would be fun to create a giftset from a couple of different stamp sets. I love making little gifts that I can have on hand and it was fun to create this little trio consisting of a card, a mug filled with everything ready for some hot cider with mulling spices and a CD that you can burn with your very own holiday playlists. Here is a picture of my holiday trio for the Triple Play Challenge:

I have more pictures of each of the projects above over at the Verve Blog - along with a special prize for a person who enters the Triple Play Challenge - and for one lucky commentator!!!

Check out all the details over at the Verve BLog!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Happy Birthday Nancy!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Today is a very special day! Its the birthday of a most wonderful person: Nancy McKinney! Nancy is the amazingly talented illustrator of the Whimsical Wishes line of Taylored Expressions!!! Her designs are gorgeous, her talent is amazing and more than anything - she is one of the sweetest people ever (and she has the cutest dimples!!!) And today, the awesome  Karen Motz has organized a birthday blog hop for Nancy - so if you are coming over here from the lovely and talented Karen Giron's Blog - then you are right on track (if not you can start at the beginning at Karen Motz's Blog)

There are so many wonderful birthday stamp sets from Taylored Expressions that Nancy has designed so it was so hard to pick one - but I had to go with the fun and whimsical stamp set called "Make a Wish" with the Make A WIsh Project Pantry papers from Taylored Expressions. It was so much fun to create this card with dearest Nancy in mind :) I wanted it to be festive - so I stamped the pennant stamp in this set in Versamark, and then inked it with some Bamboo leaves ink from Memento and added some clear EP to it so that it had a nice glaze to it - I also did the same thing for the orange pennant and then cut out the pennants. I finished it by adding some dimensionals to the green row and then adding some bling in between the pennants.

\\\
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Make A Wish from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Tuxedo Black, Tangelo and Bamboo leaves and copics
Accessories: Spellbinders (Nestabilities), Adirondack liquid pearls , ribbon from stash, Heart punch from MS, bling from stash and corner chomper

I can't wait to send this card off in the mail to dearest Nancy - wishing you the very best birthday ever! Wishing you and your family lots of laughter and joy every single day and wishing you continued success in everything that you do!!! (And another wish, is that I can't wait to see you soon again!!! )

A lot of the members of Taylored Expressions Baker's Dozen DT were so lucky that we got to meet dearest Nancy at CHA in July in Chicago! And I can't wait to hang out with you soon again!!! Here is a picture I adore of Nancy and myself at CHA in front of Taylor's booth :))) I love this picture!!!

Sending you a ton of wishes for an amazingly happy and wonderful birthday and year dear Nancy!!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

PS - Hope on over to the lovely blog of Janet Rossi if you are following the hoppers today - or you can start at the beginning with Karen Motz's lovely blog!!!! Happy Birthday dearest Nancy!!!! xoxo!!!

JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #10

Welcome to the 10th week of JustRite Stampers’  Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops!  Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving we have been showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  Don’t forget that JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find them HERE.

For the month of November we thought we would also throw in some holiday gift ideas for any of your JustRite stamps so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops!  And in celebration of JustRite’s 10th week of Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you -- take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps -- Don't forget to tell Santa!

For today's project, I wanted to create a quick gift item that can be given to teacher's, teacher's assistants, room mothers or even as a hostess gift for all the holiday parties this season. I used the sweet mitten from Sparky and Friends (which is from the new line of Cling that JustRite is now carrying) to create this holiday candle gift set.

I love the sentiment "Sending love from our house to yours" and gave the mittens a holiday feel with some green and red flavor :) Here is a view of the card:
Here is a picture of the candle that I decorated - I tried to keep the ribbons and layout the same as the card.  I popped up the mittens on the tag and covered it with a crackle glaze.

Here is a close up from the top - I love that this candle can be closed after used and wanted to create a simple cover for it:

It was so much fun to create this holiday gift giving project. Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous JustRite Christmas inspiration they have for you on the hop today!
