I love circle elements in a card - so many possibilities to play with! I used the flowers and sentiments from the Rosy Posy stamp set and the butterflies from the New Beginnings stamp set paired with the Leafy Branch die  from Taylored Expressions to create this card:

Here is a closer peek at this card - love pairing elements from these two stamp sets together! Makes me so happy to create something for someone special!!

Thinking of You

Hi Everyone!

My card today is part of the Taylored Expressions Share Joy campaign that was launched in March of this year! It is the third phase of the campaign that is partnering with the Spiritual Care Department of the Unity Point Health System in Des Moines Iowa - who provide support to families whose loved ones pass away while in their care.

The team has discovered that sending cards to the families significantly improves their ability to grieve in healthy ways and so if you would like to be part of this campaign - please send your Thinking Of You cards to Taylored Expressions by May 8th, 2015. For more information about this campaign and the GRAND PRIZE that is also involved - please check out this page on the TE webpage

I used the sentiment "Thinking of You" from the Love Grows Here stamp set. I kept the color palette simple and neutral with small pops of the Lilac Posie for color. The background was embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder. Sometimes when I am thinking of someone or holding them in prayer - I tend to be gazing outside - so I used the Arch Window die to die cut the window and then combined it with the Arbor Accessories and the Wispy Grass die border.

I love the feel of the all white wood grain and flowers around the window - it makes it feel like from a fairytale.

Here is another view of the card: I added a little sheet of acetate underneath the window accessories for that glass shine - and left lots of white space around the center panel so it didn't look busy:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Love Grows Here stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Paper: Sugar Cube (TE) and Metallic Neutrals (TE)
Inks: Lilac Posies from Memento Inks
Taylored DiesWoodgrain embossing folder, Arch Window dieArbor Accessories and Wispy Grass die border
Accessories: Best Glue Ever, acetate sheet, photo corner chomper, foam dimensional tape

I just love how this card turned out - it has such a whimsy feel for me - and this is campaign is such a positive and uplifting campaign that touches people's hearts in little ways that make a big difference.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Taylored Expressions: Pinterest Inspiration: Thinking Of You

Hi Everyone!!!

If you are ever stuck in the creating process, just stop by the Taylored Expressions Pinterest albums. This is such a great place to browse thru when you are starting to make a card and are needing inspiration. I like to make some tea and get comfy on the couch and browse thru pinterst - makes it such a cozy indulgent way to spend some quality "me" time :)

As I was perusing the gallery, I found this awesome card made the super sweet and delightfully lovely Wanda Guess!! Aren't those rainbow boots so super cute! What a great idea - love the colors of rainbow with a lot of white space simple - its just so happy and bright! So I went with the same colors and the same layout but used some different dies and stamps for the sentiment and image panel.

I chose this sentiment "Thinking of You" to honor the Share Joy Campaign that was launched in March of this year which is the third phase of the campaign that is partnering with the Spiritual Care Department of the Unity Point Health System in Des Moines Iowa - who provide support to families whose loved ones pass away while in their care. The team has discovered that sending cards to the families signifciantly improves their ability to grieve in healthy ways and so if you would like to be part of this campaign - please send your Thinking Of You cards to Taylored Expressions by May 8th, 2015. For more information about this campaign and the GRAND PRIZE that is also involved - please check out this page on the TE webpage

Here is the card that I made with Wanda's inspiration - using the Just A Note dies from Taylored Expressions with the sentiment from the Love Grows Here stamp set. I used the rainbow theme with the musical notes die cut in different cardstock colors then framed it using the Frame In Frame dies and then stamped the sentiment: "Thinking of You" underneath it with a little accent of a heart and some dots of liquid pearls and stickles::

Card Ingredients:
Stamps:Love Grows Here (sentiment) from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Sugar Cube (TE), Salt Water Taffy (TE), Cherry Pop (TE), Lemon Meringue (TE), Pea Pod (TE) , Cookies Monster (TE)
Inks: Memento Teal Zeal
Taylored Dies: Just A Note dies and Frame In Frames dies from TE
Accessories: foam dimensional tape, Best Glue Ever, liquid pearls, heart punch, yellow stickles

Here is a closer peek - love the feel of that the frame die gives the card - and the row of liquid pearls and stickles - such fun!

I loved making this pinterest CASE of Wanda's card and hope you have a chance to play along with the Share Joy Campaign and that if you ever need an inspiration on where to start in making card check out the Taylored Expressions Pinterest Page

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
