Thanks! TE Pinterest CASE

Hi Everyone!!

I have a fun set of cards that I created inspired by the Taylored Expressions Pinterest albums. This is such a great place to browse thru when you are starting to make a card and are needing inspiration. I love looking at everyone's creations and wish that I could just spend hours in my craft area just endlessly crafting (with chocolate within reach of course) and not have to mind the cooking and cleaning and all other manners of household upkeep!

As I was perusing the gallery, I found this awesome card made by Regina that I just loved for its CAS awesomeness!! Love the concept of white on white with some pop of colors and so I decided to CASE it and used the die "thanks" that you receive with your order from TE and did the same kind of look in two different ways :

The first one was using the word thanks and repeating it white on white with the last one being colored in with copics :

Here is a closeup - I added some liquid pearls to the edges. To make it pop out more, I glued two of the die cut words together so that there was more of pop:

I also thought it might be fun to create a different kind of card and still do the repeating thanks but this time using the word "colors" as my inspiration and die cut the word thanks with all the different TE cardstock colors:

Card Ingredients:
TE Cardstock: Cherry Pop, Pumpkin, Lemon Meringue, Peapod, Salt Water Taffy, Jelly Donut and Sugar Cube
Taylored Dies: "Thanks"die from TE
Accessories: corner chomper, red satin ribbon, gold grosgrain ribbon, liquid pearls, copics, Best Glue Ever and foam dimensionals

If you ever need any inspiration - definitely check out all the awesome pins in the Taylored Expressions Pinterest Gallery - I got sucked in was surfing there for 4 hours!! Loved it!!

Sankari :)

Love Tree with Key To My Heart Banner!

Hi Everyone!

Today I made a fun card using just dies!!! I LOVE that! All the elements on this card are created by using dies - the clouds, the hill, the tree, sentiment, and key/lock banner are all created using dies :) This was such a fun card to create!

I started by creating the background using the Cloud Border die and then added the rolling hill using the Rolling Hills die. I die cut the Love Tree with the Chocolate Truffle cardstock from TE and the hearts and sentiment from the Double the Fun paper pack (6x6) from TE. And then I thought it would be fun to create this fun banner using the Key to My Heart die set (keys and locks) with different colored cardstock and then hang it with some twine from the top:

Here is a close up of my Key and Lock Banner using the dies from the Key To My Heart die set from TE - this is such a fun way to create a banner by stringing these dies together! Love the fun festive look it creates :)

Taylored Expressions: Release Day: Lefty the cutie doggie :)

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the first release week of the new year from Taylored Expressions!!!! Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

Today I am excited to show you a little sweet guy named Lefty! Isn't he just adorable! For the last four months all the kids have wanted was a puppy - and we almost caved in twice - but then we had to really talk about it as a family to make sure that we could properly take care of another family member! Both my DH and I had dogs growing up - and making this card really made me want to go and adopt a little doggie in need of a home! I love this little guy and I love the sentiments in this stamp set as well!

I stamped and colored Lefty and then created a scene using the Picture Window die and Window Accessories dies to create a little home for him - I thought it would be so cute to have a little puppy with a house and a white picket fence... of course the whole time I was making this card my DD kept asking me if we were going to get a dog just like Lefty :) aww! Here is a close up of this little guy:

Card ingredients:
Stamps: Lefty stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Paper: PaperPack Build A Scene from TE
Inks: Memento Inks: Love Letter ink and copics
Taylored Dies: Picture Window and Window Accessories dies from TE, Picket Fence border, Grass Border die, Mini Scallop die
Accessories: Corner chomper, paper crimper, White gel pen, TE felt: Grass Green, FGoam dimensionals and Best Glue Ever

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek: Graysie and Think Happy Thoughts

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the first release week of the new year from Taylored Expressions and to the third day of sneak peeks!!!! Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

Today, I am sneak peeking one super cute little kitty cat named Graysie from the stamp set: Graysie that will be available tomorrow for release. All cat lovers will love the sentiments in this stamp set along with the sweet little ball of yarn stamped image. I colored in Graysie and the flower pot with Copics and then created mini- scene using papers from the Matched Kit: Build A Scene. I love the "floor" DP - its so multi-functional and the sweet dotted yellow DP looked like some fun wallpaper for little Graysie's home :) After adhereing Graysie to the scene, I die cut a circle and then popped up the scene so that the sentiment and main scene are on different layers:

Here is a close up peek of my card - Graysie was diecut using the coordinating die that comes with this stamp set:

Card Ingredients:
Stamp set: Graysie stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Teal Zeal from Memento Inks and Copics
Papers: Build A Scene Matched Kit from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Party Banner border die from TE, circle nestability, liquid pearls, white gel pen, foam dimensionals, Best Glue Ever

For my second card, I used the stamp set Think Happy Thoughts that was previously offered as a free set with purchase during our birthday celebration in September and now will be available for purchase in tomorrow's release! It comes with one of my favorite die sentiments - the word "happy" and so I paired it with the sentiment: "happy anniversary" from the stamp set: Burgers & Fries - and filled the card with hearts from the Heart Stacklets dies from TE:

I embossed the Jelly Donut cardstock that is in the Matched Kit: Rainbow Brights papers from TE with the Diagonal Stripe embossing folder from TE. The hearts were cut out from the Rainbow Brights DP and then adhered to solid cardstock from the Rainbow Brights collection and arranged over the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment: "Happy Anniversary" and then die cut the word "Happy" and added it over the stamped sentiment - Here is a closer peek at the hearts and sentiment:

Card Ingredients:
Stamp set: Died word "Happy" from the stamp set: Think Some Happy Thoughts and stamped sentiment is from the Burgers & Fries stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Tangelo from Memento Inks and Copics
Papers: Matched Kit:Rainbow Brights from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Heart Stacklets dies from TE, white gel pen, foam dimensionals, Best Glue Ever

I love this sweet little Graysie card and the "happy" card makes me so happy! Thanks so much for visiting crafty friends! If you would like to see more projects and new product information  - please head over to the TE blog for a complete blog roll of our participating designers.
