You're the Best! Shaker card

Hi Everyone!

One of my amazing co-workers is simply the very best! She constantly makes our office space the happiest and most nourishing place to be and this week she has done so many wonderful things for me - always thinking of others before herself and I cannot even express how her kind gestures just touches my heart!!

I wanted to create a little something special for her and created this shaker card using the sentiment: "You're the Best" (because she is the best! :) )from the Greetings For Her stamp set

I love how this card turned out! Here are some instructions for making this card:

  1. I started out by using the Heart Stacklets dies and created this cut out by die cutting the second/third largest stacklets out of Cherry Pop cardstock
  2. I cut out a piece of acetate from the second largest stacklet and then adhered it under the red heart die cut out and then adhered a line of foam tape under the die cut out.
  3. The base was cut out using the Metallic Neutrals gold cardstock to which I stamped the sentiment off to one side of the middle and then added sequins to it. I then overlayed the red frame over the sentiment and sequins.
  4. Using the Earl Grey cardstock I created an A2 card base and then embossed the gold cardstock with the Zig Zag embossing folder. To this I die cut the largest heart from the Earl Grey cardstock and added some little dots using the Irresistible Pico Embellishers and then added a little banner to the top and finished it with some twine to either side.
Here is a close up of the card:

I just loved making this card and cannot wait to give this to her on Friday- a little card on her desk with a little present for the weekend!! So grateful to have wonderful co-workers!!

Hope you are all doing well!

This month I met a very special lady who inspired me with her honesty, integrity and desire to change her life. Being with her was an honor and I wanted to make a special gift for her - so I created a framed piece for her using the inspiring newly released Rise Above stamp set and the Partly Cloudy die set.  I didn't follow the color scheme exactly above - just saw sunshine and couldn't wait to use it! I love this sentiment and the coordinating dies!!

I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the Rounded Rectangular die and matted it with the Rounded Scallop Frame,  I added the Heart Quartet dies to the center of the sun and to the side of the scalloped frame :) I finished it off with some bling to the hearts and some gray stain ribbon to either side of the card :) I can't wait to give this to her tomorrow!

Card Ingredients:
Stamp Set: Rise Above stamp set from Verve Stamps
Cardstock: DP, white cardstock
Accessories: gray satin ribbon, Best Glue Ever, bling, frame

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we're giving away a $30 gift voucher to Verve to one random commenter along the hop!

Taylored Expressions Release Day - Sit & Chat

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to release day at Taylored Expressions! Today I have a fun card that I made using the Sit & Chat stamp set and coordinating dies. I love these elegant chairs and sofa - and sentiments are darling. For this card - I die cut the elements (lamp and sofa and then colored it with my copics). I then shaded in a circular manner a yellow light going over the sofa and then shaded the surrounding bottom part with grays and black inks, with the sentiment "missing you".

Here is a close up of the card - I added a little shimmer glaze to the couch (doesn't it remind you of sitting on a plastic covered couch at your grandmother's house :D) - I LOVE how these elements from the stamp set and dies made it so easy to create this card --- love it!

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Sit & Chat stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Taylored Dies: Sit & Chat dies Border, Stitched Circle Stacklets, Houndstooth Embossing Folder
Inks: Memento: Tuxedo Black, Dandelion, Copics
Cardstock: Poppy Seed, Buttercream Frosting, Cookie Monster, Champagne, Potato Chip
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Pico Embellisher Shimmer, Corner Rounder

It was truly fun to craft and create these cards for this release using all of these gorgeous dies and stamp sets!! LOVE IT!!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 3 - Build A Scene - Nursery and Grown Up Grumplings

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the third day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions! I am so excited to share this card that I made using the Build A Scenes - Nursery and also combined this with the Build A Scene - Window dies. I love these amazing dies - total must haves! One of my best friends just had a baby girl and I wanted to make a special card for her little precious girl! I can't tell you enough, HOW much fun I had making this card!!!!

Here is a closer peek at the card. I added some Pico Wedding Dress pico embellishers to the crib and rocking chair to make it shiny and glass!!! I also used the Hello Happiness paperpack (6x6) to paper piece the lamp  and the rug.  I loved how tihis turned out!!!

Card Ingredients:

Taylored Dies: Build A Scene – Nursery and Build A Scene – Window, Cloud Border
Inks: Distress – Broken China
Cardstock: Champagne, Salt Water Taffy, Chocolate Truffle
Patterned Paper: Hello Happiness paperpack and Build A Scene paperpack
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Pico Embellisher Shimmer, Corner Rounder

For my second project, I created set of cards using the Grown Up Grumpings stamp set and coordinating dies. I kept the layout the same and just changed the colors and sentiment - PERFECT for a new mom who needs a laugh!!! :D    Here are all three of my cardset:

Here is the card using this super cute monkey - that sentiment is SOOOOO true!! I had to laugh!!!

Here is my second card using this sentiment that totally resonates with me! There are times when I say the things that I promised I would NEVER say - and suddenly I sound just like my mom/dad! I always imagined to be a kind of parent and my children sure do teach me LOTS of lessons on how to just let go and surrender!

Here is my last card using the sentiment: "Poop! There it is" --- and now that song is stuck in my head!!! LOL!!!

Card Ingredients:
Taylored Dies: Stitched Stacklets – Squares, Stitched Stacklets – Circles
Stamp set: GrownUp Grumpling stamp set
Cardstock: Cookie Monster, Red Pepper, Lemon Meringue, Sugar Cube
Accessories: Best Glue Ever, Foam Dimensional , Pico Embellisher- Shimmer

It was truly fun to craft and create these cards using these gorgeous dies and hilarious stamp set!! LOVE IT!!
