Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks:P & P Fab Frames: Summer and Hexagon Cutting Plate

Hey Everyone,




 Today is the second day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and today I am showing a page I created using the Pockets and Pages Fab Frames: Summer - such a great way to spice up a photo for your page layout! Here is a page that I created it is the back of the page that I created the month before - and so I kept the same blue theme:


Here is a close up of the Fab Frames: Summer (which is a set of three frames with different sentiments that are cut out of the frame. I chose to "frame" one of the pictures of our family at the beach with the frame and sentiment that says: "I {heart} summer".... I added a Party Banner border die across the picture and then added some words that I cut out from the new to be released P & P June Script:

On the bottom of this page as well as the top of the next page, I used sentiments from the Big Bold Summer sentiments and added elements from the Big Kahuna stamp set (such as the beach umbrella and surfboards). I also added a sun from the new to be released Sun and Clouds dies:

Loved taking the photos from my camera and quickly making a page with these awesome new dies and stamp sets! For my second project, I made a thank you card using the Hippo Birdy stamp set paired with the soon to be released Hexagon Cutting Plate. Love how the cutting plates add such an easy touch of extra drama :) I also popped some hearts in some of the open hexagon shapes for some fun:
Here is a close up peek - I colored this cute elephant - sometimes I want to call this elephant Thomas and other times I want to call her Sheila :) Today She is Sheila :) So I colored Sheila the elephant (helps to have a name and conversation as you color them :) and paper pieced her ears with some DP that was in my stash. I added just a little bit of DP that had some words and a little gray satin ribbon at the top for a bit of softness - I LOVED coloring Sheila/Thomas - she is just so cute :)

I loved making this fun page for my family album with these new Pockets and Pages dies and stamps that can coordinate with these dies along with using this awesome and fun hexagon cutting plate. Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: Big Kahuna and Sun & Clouds dies


Hi Everyone!!

 Welcome to the June Release from Taylored Expressions!! This month's release is HUGE - seriously full of SO many amazing stamp sets and dies (that both coordinate and can be mix and matched)! 

To kick off the celebrations and summer - I created this card using the new to be released stamp set: Big Kahuna that comes with Big Kahuna dies which makes cutting the palm trees in this stamp set a total cinch!
I love this super sweet ride and colored it in with red and yellow inks with a wood border for the car - I added the sentiment "relax" onto the surfboard on top of the wagon:

 

Here is another view of the card from on top - I love the Build A Scene: Swirly Clouds die mixed with the Cloud Border die to create the clouds. For the waves, I used the Wave Border die with scrap DP to create the ocean look. I tore some paper for the sand and then added some twine and popped up the wagon and trees that I had colored with some dimensionals:

 I love how this card turned out! Taylor is also releasing some total cute Sun & Clouds dies that will make creating a sky super simple! In this card, I paired the Sun and Clouds dies with the soon to be released stamp set: Hippo Birdy from Taylored Expressions. One of our family friends is having a baby this month - and I thought I would create a Welcome Baby card using these dies and stamp set to create a little scene:
 
I absolutely LOVE these cute animals - and created a scene for the Sun & Clouds stamp set by having hills for the animals to stand on using the Build A Scene: Rolling Hills dies. I inked the bottom of the clouds from these dies (the clouds come in two sizes) and then popped them around the sky. I love the sun die - it comes in two pieces so I ran it through two different colors of yellow cardstock and popped them together with some dimensionals:

Cardstock: Basic Grey DP and Buttercream cardstock

May Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions

Hey Everyone,

Hi Everyone,

 This month's Stamp of the Month (SOTM) from Taylored Expressions (May '14) is called: Bloom and Grow and comes with coordinating dies called Hello Blooms The  deluxe subscription to the KI kit will also come with the SOTM (with dies) along with all the ingredients in the Key Ingredients Kit! What an awesome deal to get a monthly package of awesome crafty goodness!! 

 For my project for today's SOTM blog hop, I used the lovely butterfly stamp set that comes with lines flaring out from the center and used the Hello Blooms dies butterfly shape to cut out the different butterflies inked with mixed ink colors. I paired it with some of the awesome DP papers from the KI kit (I love the grid paper and the multiple blooms papers!)

  
Here is a close up of the butterflies - I just love how mixing the inks with the stamp set creates some fun, different and unique butterflies. I added some different colorful buttons from my buttons stash and added some twine to the center and then used some glue dots to adhere it to the center. The edges of the butterflies got flared out by curling it with a pen - I love how these sweet butterflies on it :)

Taylored Expressions May Release Day: Rockets Red Glare

Hi Everyone!!

Welcome to Release Day from Taylored Expressions!!! Woohoo!!! Today all the peeks from this week's release will be available for your crafty pleasure and to celebrate, I created a fun little card using the new stamp set: Rockets Red Glare with the sentiment: Boom! Isn't that such a fun sentiment!!?!

I created a little star shaped card using the Star Stacklets dies and some red, blue and yellow cardstock. I stamped the firecracker and colored it in and then outlined it with some white gel pen and then added the sentiment and some twine:

Here is another angle of the card - I added some foam dimensionals and sponged the edges of the stars with blue ink:
I love this fun card!! So much fun to use these stacklets and firecrackers from this stamp set!!
