Taylored Expressions October 2015 Release - Ornament Overlays and Build A Scene - Winter Trees

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the October Release from Taylored Expressions!! This month's release is an AMAZING array of  stamps, dies, paper packs and supplies to make all of your Holiday and Christmas projects! Woohoo!

For my first card, I used the new Ornament Overlay dies with the new Matched Kit - Build A Scene Christmas papers to create this little holiday card:

I added a little silver twine and some bling to the center of the ornament. The sentiment is from the Simply Stamped - Pinecone stamp set:

For my second card, I created this fun super sweet winter scene using the new Build A Scene - Winter trees (that comes with different trees ready to be paired up and scened up!). I used the Build a Scene - Rolling Hills to create these snowly hills and used the new lake from the Build A Scene - Central Park dies for the little lake and deer.

Here is a close up of this scene - the background snowflakes is a designer paper from the Matched Kit - Build A Scene Christmas paperpack and I added the little hat to the deer from the Little Bits - Snowflake Confetti:

I have loved making projects for today's sneak peeks! Please make sure to stop by the TE blog today for more info and to hop over to everyone's blog today to check out their works of art!

What a fun sketch - a circle within a square within a rectangle!! YES! Love it - so much fun!! I wanted to keep the color palate clean and simple but added a little fun with the Lattice Embossing Folder from Taylored Expressions and then added this sweet sentiment: "Life is Short - Make It Amazing" from the Make It Amazing stamp set from Taylored Expressions

Here is another view of the card - a little bit closer up - I added some little dots using the Irresistible Pico Wedding Cake embellisher - Love the way it turned out:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Make It Amazing stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tangelo ink
Cardstock: Sugar Cube cardstock (TE), Pumpkin cardstock (TE) and DP from stash
Accessories: Lattice Embossing Folder (TE), Prima Flower, Circle nestabilities, Irresistible Pico Embellisher (Wedding Cake), Best Glue Ever, Foam Dimensional Tape

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #287 - Love You!

Hi Everyone!!

Happy Sunday! Hope that you have been having a great weekend! Sunday means its time for another awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge sketch! YAY! So stay in your jammies grab a cup of coffee and join in for some crafty fun :)  Here is our sketch for this week:

So many possibilities for both the circular element, as well as the butterfly element :) For me, the first time I saw this sketch, I saw a scene and and waves and sunshine :) So I created a little scene using dies and one stamp for a sentiment - I absolutely love how it turned out!

Card Ingredients:

Stamps: Much Love stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Sugar Cube cardstock (TE) and various cardstock from stash
Inks: Memento Dandelion
Accessories: Cloud Border die, Heart Stacklets, Build A Scene: Whimsical Clouds, Foam dimensional tape (TE), Best Glue Ever, corner chomper, white gel pen, stickles

I sponged the background sky and then added some waves and a heart with the sentiment "Love You" from the stamp set: Much Love to the center of the ehart. And even though there are no elements where the clouds are, I added some clouds for a little bit of fun and whimsy!

Please check out all the cards with this sketch on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog and play along if you get the chance!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #286 - Kraft Flower Fun

Hi Everyone!!

Happy Sunday! Hope that you have been having a great weekend! Sunday means its time for another awesome Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge sketch! YAY! So stay in your jammies grab a cup of coffee and join in for some crafty fun :)  Here is our sketch for this week:

This slightly half-circle off the side of the card is so cool! I decided to go with a monochromatic color scheme with a little bit of yellow and brown. I kept this card to just dies and embossing, no stamping! I used the Petal Pop-Ups 2 dies from Taylored Expressions to create this little flower and layered it with the Layering Doily Large die (TE) against the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder (TE):

Card Ingredients:
Inks: Memento: Dandelion and Chalk Ink: Dark Brown
Papers: Toffee and Buttercream cardstock from TE
Taylored Dies: Petal Pop-Ups 2, Layering Doily Large and Lots of Dots Embossing Folder
Accessories: corner chomper (photo corner), Dotted Lattice embossing folder from TE, best glue ever, foam dimensional tape, bling and white gel pen

It was so fun to have a monochromatic color scheme to work with - it makes it so much fun to focus on textures using dies and embossing folders! Please check out all the cards with this sketch on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog and play along if you get the chance!!

I love the little trio of stars on the side and thought to use the trio of balloons from the Balloon Buddies stamp set from Taylored Expressions that holds up this super cute elephant and pair it with the sentiment "sending you Love" from the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp and die combo:
