JustRite Stampers: Backyard Birds

Hi Everyone,

Hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! Today really was beautiful - such a gorgeous day being outside with nature and I got inspired to try something different :) The gorgeous stamp set called Backyard Birds from JustRite stampers has always intimidated me a bit because I am not sure how to color in the gorgeous birds - but after hanging outside all day today - I wanted to give it a try :)

All the birds are so sweet and lovely - its hard to pick which one you want to use - after playing ine-mini-mani-moe ;) I finally picked the sweet image of the lovely hummingbird enjoying the nectar of some yummy flowers. This reminds me of being up north at the cabin and watching the hummingbirds at the feeder while we ate breakfast. I stamped the image and colored the sweet little hummingbird a mixture of bright and dark greens and bit of a blue and the flowers I colored red to match the red nectar from the bird feeders.

The sentiment in this set comes from the circle border that is 3 1/4" so after I stamped it, I used my nesties to cut it out and curled it to give it a wave before adhering it on my card. I wanted to keep the colors mostly pink and green and added a wee bit liquid pearls :)) (just a wee bit :) Here is a closer look at the sentiment and image:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket (Pixilicious) and Prism cardstock
Ink: Memento Rosebud and Tuxedo black
Accessories: Spellbinders, white gel pen, glaze, copics, ribbons from stash, MFT scalloped die, pearls from Want2Scrap, simensionals and corner chomper

I really enjoyed playing with this gorgeous stamp set and can't wait to try my hand at coloring in the rest of these gorgeous backyard birds!!! Check out all the gorgeous birds in this lovely stamp set here! The sentiment "Find joy in the little things" is so true - I feel that this sentiment should be something that I have to remember every day - its so easy to get swept up in the busy schedules of life - but just enjoying even the littlest things - the wind against your cheeks, the feel of your little ones hand in yours, the silence of the morning coffee ritual --- all beautiful things!

Thank you so much for stopping by
and hope that you are enjoying all the little and big joys in life!

Hugs,
Sankari :)
