Verve Diva Inspirations Hop - October 2014

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Verve's October Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our October inspiration challenge for another chance to win!

This month's challenge is entitled Fall Fancy:

The air is crisp and the colors are warm – celebrate fall with a spook-tacular creation or a thoughtful thank you using Fall as your inspiration!

For my card today, I used one of my all time favorite stamp sets: Up, Up and Away! I love the amazing hot air balloons and the sweet little tree in this set! I created a fall inspired thank you card and created grass from one of the stamps and then sponged a cloud using a metal stencil border that has clouds that I got for free at a make and take at CHA several years ago. I loved getting whimsy with this sweet stamp set - here is my card for this Fall Fancy Challenge:

Card Ingredients:
Stamp sets: Up, Up and Away stamp set and Tag Time stamp set from Verve Stamps
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Rose Red, Bamboo Leaves and Canteloupe inks
Papers: Kraft paper, Choice white from TE
Accessories: Award Banner Trim die from Verve Stamps, Grass Punch from Martha Stewart, stickles, foam dimensionals, corner chomper

I used the sentiment from the Tag Time stamp setand adhered it to one of the hot air balloons. One of my most favorite things to do in the fall is to walk in the park and enjoy the fall colors - andI tried to give the fall colors to the trees in the Up, Up and Away stamp set with some copics and stickles. I also added a little trim using the Award Banner Trim die from Verve Stamps. I love this stamp set - just makes me both want to get on a hot air balloon but also makes me want to be outside and explore! Speaking of exploration - there are a bunch of cards created with the fall fancy theme - please jump over and check them out!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!

Taylored Expressions Ocotober Release Day: Wishes on A Wire

Hi Everyone

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

For my card today, I created a project with my favorite (ok, they are all my favorites!) stamp set called : Wishes On A Wire - such a cute little stamp set with adorable birdhouses!! I also created a border of christmas lights using the Share the Light stamp set - what a sweet stamp set!

Here is a closer peek: I used the Winter Flurry embossing folder to create the background, along with the Sheet Music Embossing Folder which I adhered at the bottom of the card. I also added some stickles to the lights after coloring them up with copics - love how this turned out!

It was so much fun to create these cards and projects for this release - all I need now is 48 hours in a day and days to spend in my craft room to create all the cards that I want to make using all the awesome stamp sets and embossing folders and dies from this release!

Thanks for visiting, crafty friends! If you'd like to see more projects and new product information, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete blog roll of our participating designers!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Taylored Expressions Day3 Sneak Peeks: Sack It and On Dasher, On Dancer

Hi Everyone

Welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks from the October Release from Taylored Expressions! Everything sneak peeked will be released on Thursday at 7am PST!

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

My first project today shows a little favor that you can make using the Sack It die - (check out all the different kinds of sacks you can make with it here) . With this Sack It die and with the new coordinating die pieces to make a scarecrow, I created a little treat bag - Perfect for Halloween Favors and treats! Here is the super cute Sack It - Scarecrow:

I created the Sack It Scarecrow Favor bag by cutting out the cardstock from the Matched Hocus Pocus (designer pack and cardstock from TE):

I can't wait to make treat and favor bags for my children's class with this super sweet guy! For my second project, I created a little scene only with dies, punches and an embossing folder. I used the Snowfall Embossing folder that will be released tomorrow and used the back side which I filled with glitter. To make the scene on the bottom, I used the new to be released Evergreens tree dies from TE with the Build a Scene: Rolling hills dies that I crimped. On the top I added the new Ice Border die and then over the moon, I added the new to be released Santa and reindeer die called: On Dasher, On Dancer!

Here is a closer peek at it - I love this die - so super cute and intricate! I die cut it twice to create some shadow and added some liquid pearls to the hills:

It was so much fun to create these cards - and get the wheels going to get started on Halloween Treat making and holiday card making!!
