Dream BIG Giveaway!!!

Hi Everyone!!

I have a special project that I made using the Deco Foil from Therm O Web!! Taylored Expressions and Therm O Web are partnering and there is a special giveaway that is up for grabs!!!

I created today's card using these awesome foils that just make the card by with light, sheen and sparkle :) There are a TON of amazing colors available from the Therm O Web site - the hardest part is picking one color!! I used the Aqua and Lime Foil sheets for the balloons and the Rainbow Foil for the background. Here is my card made with these super fun foil sheets with the Make A Wish Balloon Dies and Quatrefoil Cutting Plate from Taylored Expressions:

I started off by cutting the balloon shapes with the Make A Wish balloon dies with different colored cardstock in different sizes. I adhered some of the different colored foils to the Toner Sheets and then ran them thru the Big Shot and like magic the foil cut balloons came out of the dies!! So cool!! I did the same for the Quatrefoil Cutting Plate and it was so so so so cool to have a foil based cutting plate! Here is a close up of the balloons and cutting plate where you can really see the sheen and shine!!!

Ingredients:
Paper: Sugar Cube, Grape Jelly, Cookie Monster, Granny Smith, Plum Punch, Pumpkin, Salt Water Taffy and Earl Grey

Verve Diva Inspirations May Challenge and Blog Hop

Then to be entered into our challenge prize drawing, go get inky and link up your take on the challenge. You have until June 5 to link up. Feel free to play along with the challenge as many times as you like. Verve stamps aren't required to play, but we do smile a little brighter when we see them!

The end of spring always brings a touch of wanderlust.  This collection of bracelets has me wishing for a sun drenched road trip filled with gypsy wonder and delight.

For my project today, I decided to use the MojoMonday sketch #447 as a place to start for my card. I used the stamp sets: Big Wish (For the cake and image panel) and the sentiment: Remember This (for the sentiment panel). Here is a snippet of the sketch (on the left) - I decided that the two wraps of ribbon on either side could be in place of the other circles and the tilted image panel became a circle instead - here is how it all turned out:

Card Ingredients:
Verve stamps: Big Wish and Remember This stamp set
Cardstock: Taylored Expressions (granny smith, salt water taffy, kraft, sugar cube)
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves
Accessories: corner rounders, bling, glue tape, copics, ribbon and foam tape.

There's no script for this inspiration... channel your inner gypsy, go floral, follow our color pattern or forge your own path. We can't wait to see what you create!
Click here to link up your challenge entries
Challenge deadline: Sunday, June 5.
Prize: $30 gift voucher to the Verve online store!

Need a little inspiration? Taylored Expressions May Release Day 3: Celebrate Banner and Little Bits -Skateboard

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Day 3 of the Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peeks!! All the products will be released tomorrow morning: Thursday May 5, 2016 at 7am PST!   For today's projects, I created some cards and projects with some amazing new dies!!!

My first project is a little patriotic themed card and party favor using the Celebrate Freedom Banner. I love that this banner die cuts each phrase separately and they can be used together or separately! I used it separately on the party favor made using the Tagging Along die :

I love this new party favor die called Tagging along! I created a little scene using the new Marching Along die on the front - a fun and easy way to create a little scene!

Here is a card that I created using the banner die: Celebrate Freedom -- I had fun creating a little Patriotic fun by using the Litter Bits - Patriotic confetti here are there along with the Star Stackelts 1 dies:

Here is a closer peek at the card: I used the embossing folder soon to be released: Lots of Stars: I love how all the elements look together - so so much fun using red, white and blue elements here and there to create a little patriotic scene!

Project Ingredients: Celebrate Freedom Party Set

Cardstock: Cherry Pop, Sugar Cube, Salt Water Taffy
Taylored Dies and Embossing Folder: Celebrate Freedom Banner, Lots of Stars embossing folder, Star Stacklets, Little Bits – Patriotic Confetti, Skinny Mini Party Borders
Accessories: Best Glue Ever, Chunky glitter and Foam Dimensional tape, bling,

Party Favor:
Cardstock: Earl Grey, Sugar Cube, Cherry Red, Salt Water Taffy
Taylored Dies: Tagging Along, Marching On, Tag Stacklets 1
Accessories: Best Glue Ever, Foam dimensional, chunky glitter

For my second project - I created a fun card using the Little Bits -Skateboard die! I thought it would be the perfect card to give to my son -- and tried to make it "cool" but I still had to use a ribbon even though it was for him -- hope he still thinks its cool!!

Here is closer peek at the skateboard - I used felt for the base for some texture and then used different colors on the Stitched Frame Stacklets and cut out different colors of cardstock and layered it up. For the center panel, I embossed it using the Know the Ropes Embossing Folder.  Love how this turned out:

Stamp set: Toe-Tally Awesome from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock: Sugar Cube, Pumpkin, Candy Corn, Salt Water Taffy, Lemon Meringue, Earl Grey, Oreo
Taylored Expressions: Little Bits – Skateboard, Stitched Frame stacklets, Skinny Mini Party Borders
Accessories: Mustard Felt (Taylored Felt), ribbon, glue dots, Best Glue Ever, Foam Dimensionals
