Taylored Expressions - Sneak Peeks Day 3 - Bistro Lights Cutting Plate and Forever & Always

Hi Everyone,

Today is the third day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions and can I just say that I LOVE the cards that I made today! I know that I say that maybe alot - but seriously - these are maybe my favorite cards!!!

To start off with, I created this card using the new Bistro lights cutting plate with the super cute Carried Away stamp set. Do you remember the scene in the Wedding Planner where Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey dance in the park under the bistro lights - well - that was the inspiration for this card - I just imagined a couple in a park dancing under the lights. I love how this turned out!;

I created a sky with some darker blue for a night scene - and then die cut the Bistro Cutting Plate over it and added some stickles to the lights for a bit of sparkle and then arranged the die cut balloons in different colors. I added some grass from the Wispy Grass Border die and then finished it off by stamping the sentiment "just sittin' here dreaming of you" from the If Dogs Could Talk stamp set. Here is a closer look:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Carried Away stamp set (for the images of the people and balloons) and If Dogs Could Talk stamp set (for the sentiment) from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Metallic Neutrals Paper Pack (TE), Strawberry Milkshake (TE)
Inks: Memento Lady Bug Red and Nautical Blue
Taylored Dies: Bistro Lights Cutting Plate, Carried Away Coordinating dies, Cloud Border Die, Wispy Grass border die
Accessories: Best Glue Ever, Foam Tape, stickles

For my second project, I created a monotone card using the awesome word die in a frame: "Forever & Always" with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder in the Toffee cardstock. I LOVE how this card turned out - the embossing folder creates such a deep and wonderful impression which I then sponged with some Rich Cocoa ink. I added a little pop of red for some color:

I wanted the sentiment to pop out a little but didn't want to have another color of cardstock, so I put it ontop of some vellum to create a bit of a smooth and transparent feel and then popped it up ontop of the woodgrain embossed cardstock. I also added some hearts with sequins and some white gel pen faux stitching to finish it off. I just absolutely loved making this card - sigh!!

Card Ingredients:
Papers: Toffee cardstock (TE), Cherry Pop cardstock (TE) and vellum
Taylored Dies: Forever & Always, WoodGrain Embossing Folder, Leafy Branch
Inks: Rich Cocoa Memento Ink
Accessories: Best Glue Ever, Foam Tape, heart punch, white gel pen, sequins

These were some of my favorite cards to make and I can't wait to see what everyone on the TE team has created with all of these goodies!
