Good Morning Everyone! Its Saturday and that means its time for another Cinema Saturday Creative challenge! Every Saturday on the Cinema Saturday blog, Brooke and I pick out a movie from which to create a card and we invite everyone to play along! This week we are featuring the movie: Much Ado About Nothing:

This movie was made in 1993 and features the talent of Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington and even Keanu Reeves. If you haven't seen this adaptation of this Shakespearean play onto the silver screen and you like this kind of period pieces - you must watch this movie - its really well done and so full of joy, wit, humor - along with some elements of Shakespearean tragedy/betrayal - but in the end everything returns unto joy :) This week, we picked the challenge requirement to be "to use parchment paper" in our creations. You can create your own parchment paper with some distressing or tea staining technique, etc.

So the inspiration for my card comes from my favorite couple in this play/movie - Beatrice and Benedick (played by Emma Thompson & Kenneth Branagh <--- who used to be married) and they do such an incredible job to bring these characters to life!

I LOVE LOVE how they are both convinced by their friends that the other one is in love with them and they in turn who used to despise each other, begin to fall in love with each other. Their quick wit that they used to joust with each other begins to be used to detail their love for each other - it is just so sweet!

This is why I used the beautiful sentiment: "To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides" which is from the gorgeous stamp set: Feel the Sun from Verve stamps. When Benedick and Beatrice realize that they both love each other and are loved by each other - for real - there is this joy and rejoicing and merriment in their hearts (and in the hearts of all their friends). It is such a beautiful sentiment that describes this joy as feeling the sun from both sides! LOVE this sentiment!

I created this card inspired by that using the Viva La Verve Sketch on SCS for this week. The colors started as one of the colors from the hobby room that is an inspiration pic for the VLV sketch, but got "distressed".
I LOVED making this card while watching the movie (you can watch the whole thing on Youtube, starting with this link for Part 1 of the movie!).

We would love it if you would play along this week! Check out the Cinema Saturday blog from more details and to see the beautiful cards from our three guest designers this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you guys are having a fabulous weekend!!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)
