Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks - Day 2

Good Morning Everyone!!

Today is a long post day :) Sorry couldn't help my excitement :))

Why, you ask??! Well, today is Day 2 of sneak peeks over at Taylored Expressions, where today the Baker's Dozen and I are showing samples from 2 new stamp sets: Hangin' Out and In the Kitchen that will be in the Taylored Expressions store tomorrow at 8am PST!

And can I just say, that I am SOOO beyond excited about today!!! Aside from the fact that I am excited every TE release :) I am especially excited because one of today's stamp set started out as an idea that I had and sent to Taylor way back in the beginning of the year - who played with it and made it awesome :) and then sent it to our very talented and amazing illustrator Nancy McKinney who then designed and created the stamps in the Hangin' Out stamp set, which is part of the Whimsical Wishes stamp line :)))) There is nothing like a clothesline to bring back the memories of summer for me - my mom and I used to hang out our laundry in the common clothesline in our apt. building growing up - and my favorite part was folding the sun dried, laundry fresh smell of the clothes at the day's end. Although, you might think from that description that I love to do laundry - my DH can assure you that is FAR from the case!!! But who wants to do laundry, when you can stamp yourself some clean clothes!!! LOL!!!

I love this stamp set because there are so many different images to make it versatile - you can create a welcome baby card, a thinking of you/let's hang out/missing you card, a congrats card (for either a baby shower, a bridal shower or a wedding or anniversary) and the list goes on :)) I couldn't stop stamping after I made this first card - and so I kept going a created a couple more :) Here's a picture of my Hangin' Out stamp set cards:

For this first card I used the super cute Cloudy Background stamp set that Taylor designed for my background. This is a 5.75" stamp (seriously perfect for any cloud background that you want to create!!). I stamped in Dandelion Yellow from Memento and created a sunny yellow sky with clouds for my little clothesline scene. The stamp set comes with a pole that you can stamp twice (or once :) and you can in this way, create your own size clothesline. I made this clothesline a little short and stamped this whimsy blowing in the wind dress onto some Jillibean paper and then created some rolling hills, which of course I had to liquid pearl-up :) I finished it with the sentiment: "I miss hangin' out" and then stamped a little birdie on the pole :)

This next card is one that I made for my DH for our wedding anniversary that is coming up in two weeks :)) (hard to believe that we have been married for 9 years - it almost feels like yesterday :) I stamped the clouds with a darker blue so to contrast the clothes :) I paper pieced the boxers and then colored in the bra/panty set :) I ran some embroidery thread like in the card above for the clothesline and I did the hills in the same way and then finished it with the sentiment: "We make the perfect pair" - I can't wait to give this to him for our anniversary :))

The next card that I made is for my friend who is having a wee one soon (and if you are reading this - please act surprised when you see it :))). I love the sentiment "welcome little one" - babies are just such precious miracles. I paper pieced the onesies and stamped the cute little images and colored them in the onesies.

There are some more Hangin' Out creations - but those are for tomorrow ;)) But in the meantime - here is a project that I created using the second stamp set that we are sneaking today - In the Kitchen stamp set , starring Cuppie and designed by Jessie Oleson!!! Taylor has put together a beautiful Cuppie in the Kitchen Project Pantry Kit to go with this stamp set and it goes just beautifully!!

Check out all the things that you will find in the Cuppie Project Pantry Kit:
  • 12 sheets of cardstock (10 colored, 2 Choice Neutral)
  • 20 sheets of 6x6 double-sided patterned paper from MME
  • 5 yards of ribbon (1 yard each of 5 different styles)
  • Assorted coordinating buttons
  • Red Glitter Candy Dots
  • 1 bottle of Lime Stickles
  • 1 bottle of Mint Liquid Pearls (yayayay!!!)
  • 3 Mini Kraft Bakery Bags!!!
That is a ton of stuff to get your crafting on!! :) Speaking of which - I wanted to make a quick and easy project and also wanted to use the ton of recipes on my computer that I save as a word document that I am hoping one day, I will organize and cook with! So far - it has sat in my computer and I have not had any Julia Child moments in the kitchen ;) , so I thought to print out a few of my favorite desserts (the ones that are both delcious and take no time!!!) and create a little recipe book with it. I paired it up with a little Bazzill chipboard notebook:

I love all the images of what Cuppie is doing in this stamp set! I printed out all the recipes and matted them and then stamped the images of Cuppies in a row and stamped them and colored and cut them out them while watching a saved episode of FlashForward :) I love this image of Cuppie reading a cookbook :) Here is one of Cuppie and an easy cobbler recipe:

Here is one of my FAVORITE images!!! Who hasn't wanted to do this?!!! Just jump into a bowl of batter (especially when it is chocolate 0r my favorite: butterscotch!!) Here is a recipe of Cuppie doing that with a Blondies Brownie recipe:

Here is a picture of Cuppie stirring chocolate batter with a Chocolate Charlotte Ruse recipe. As I was coloring this image, I was thinking how AWESOME it would be to stir a big bowl of chocolate - so BIG that I would have to stand up on a ladder to do it!!! YUMMO!!!

Here is a picture of Chef Cuppie with a Cheesecake Pie (No Bake) Recipe!! That is my favorite kind of baking - the one, where there is no baking :)) but you end up with a YUMMY dessert! :)

Here is picture with sweet little Cuppie eating cookies that are cooling down :)) I paired this up with a simple oatmeal raisin cookie recipe that my kids love :) Doesn't this make you want a cookie - mmm esp. one that is hot and soft from the oven!!! Sigh... I might have to go do some baking now! :)
You don't want to miss all the AMAZINGGGG creations that the Baker's Dozen design team created using the Hangin' Out and In the Kitchen stamp set!!!! YAY!!! I can't wait to go surfin!!

our wonderful illustrator: Nancy McKinney
and of course!: Taylor VanBruggen

And stop by tomorrow for RELEASE DAY!!!!
There is more fun-ness, whimsy and TE in store tomorrow!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)
