Taylored Expressions July Sneak Peek

HI everyone,

Taylored Expressions is celebrating our June Release starting today with sneak peeks!!! And let me tell you - these stamps are simply the cutest and awesomest and simply full of fun-fun-fun!!! Tomorrow ALL the stamps and dies will be available for purchase and we will continue showing samples from the stamps for the rest of the week. Today the Baker's Dozen and friends are showing peeks from all the different stamp sets - seriously adoring each one!!

For my project today, I am using the Adventure Land stamp set that was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink and concepted by me (yay!) I have always been a huge roller coaster fan and some of my favorite memories from my childhood were trying to see who could ride the roller coasters the most times without throwing up! LOL!!!  I think my record was riding it 8 times in a row before getting seriously sick - but in my heart I was so excited to have beaten my own record! I love Doug's illustrations for this stamp set - they are so much fun and the sentiments are perfect for kids and all of us who are kids at heart :)

I love this stamp set - it is so perfect for summer cards, scrapbook pages and for sending fun cards year round! I made a little birthday gift set with a card and decorated a small-hinged tin using the Echo Park Sweet Day collection.

I cut an A2 card and then using my nestabilities, I cut out part of a circle so that the top of the card would be a hinged circle when you opened it up. I cut a scallop circle and then stamped the roller coaster image onto another piece of paper that i cut out with the same size circle nestabilitie. I sponged in some clouds using the Cloud Border die and then colored in the cute little people and paper pieced their roller coaster cars. I layered the sentiment onto a piece of vellum that was cut out of a smaller scallop nestie and finished it with some rounded corders and just a small circle of liquid pearls:

This summer, I am so excited to go to Hershey Park with my kids!! I am hoping that my son is tall enough so that we can go on a ride together :)

Here is what the inside of the card looks like. I stamped sentiments "happy birthday" and "hope your day is full of fun" with two different ink colors and added a little balloon on the side - and some room on the bottom for the birthday message:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Adventure Land from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento RoseRed, Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves
Dies: circle and scallop nesties, Cloud Border Die from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: vellum paper, ribbon from scraps, corner rounder, sponger, liquid pearls, glue dots and dimensionals.

Here is a closer shot at the small-hinged tin box that I decorated using the GiftCard Frame die and the Pinwheel Parade die - it was so much fun and so very easy to decorate the tin !

Here is the inside of the tin - that I also added a little pinwheel too with the same sentiment as the card: "Life is like a roller coaster, put your hands up and enjoy the ride" - and enclosed it with a little giftcard for some yummy coffee that I notice helps the ride go a lot smoother ;) lol!

Small-Hinged Tin Ingredients:
