Funny Farm Blog Hop: Hogs & Kisses :)

Hi Everyone!

Happy 10-10-10  - what a special day in this century! How did you spend you're weekend? Ours was filled with family and friends and lots of yummy food! Tonight, over at Gina K. we are having a fun little blog hop featuring the sweeeeet and funny stamp set that was just recently released called Funny Farm. This stamp set is also part of Gina's card kit of the month so with purchase of this stamp set (for a limited time only!), you also receive a free card kit! Sweet!

I loved all the images in this sweet stamp set, but these little piggies totally captured my heart with their sweet expression that totally cracks me up! I wanted to make a card just of them - so I stamped them four times and then colored and cut them out and placed them on a vertical panel with some dimensionals.

The sentiment: "Hogs & Kisses" just cracks me up :)The red background is embossed with hearts and then I used an eyelet to pop the sentiment out. I cut the sentiment in a tag shape and attached little hearts to them and popped them up on the cardstock with some dimensionals. I finished it with some grass, some liquid pearls and a little bit of buttons. This was a fun card to make - and those little piggies still have me smiling! Hop on over with me and check out what all these wonderful designers have created with this fun stamp set!!!

Gina K Previews and Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Have you seen all the gorgeous previews that have started over at the Gina K blog! Today, I am excited to be able to show you samples from two new stamp sets that will be released this week called: Tea Time and Funny Farm!

I always adore all of Rupa Shevde's creations - her illustrations are perfect and gorgeous and I couldn't wait to play with the new Tea Time stamp set that she has created for Gina K - its beyond TEA-riffic (hee :). I love the stacked tea cup images in this stamp set and colored it in with the colors from the new Pixilicious DP from Cosmo. I added a little glaze to the teacups and then framed it with the labels nestie and finished it off with some ribbon and bling:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket: Pixilicious
Stamps: Tea Time from Gina K.
Ink: Grape Jelly from Memento and Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels, Want2Scrap, borderedging stamp set, Eggplant Adirondack liquid pearls, ribbon from stash and glaze.

The second card that I created for tonight also comes from the awesome new stamp set called: Funny Farm that comes with a free card kit upon purchase! How awesome is that!! This stamp set comes with the following ingredients in the card kit:

Card Kit Contents:
* Card stock: Full sized sheet - white and black; 1/2 sheet: navy, little boy blue, red hot, innocent pink, sweet corn, and green apple
*1 yard 5/8" black gingham ribbon
* silver brads
* Instruction sheet (to create all the uber cute cards that are on
Jessica's blog)

I used the Card Kit to create this card using the Funny Farm stamp set. Living in Iowa, I ADORE this stamp set - its full of adorable sentiments and cute images. I decided to use the image of the farm scene since this is exactly what I see everyday when I pull out of our driveway and drive out to work and back :) I created a little sky behind the image by masking it off and then sponging it with some sunrise sky colors :)

I love the black and white gingham ribbon that comes with this card kit - its perfect for a card from the Funny Farm! lol!

For more samples with tonight's new stamp sets, please visit these participating designer's blog links:
The entire team would like to cordially invite each of you to our release party this Thursday night, September 30.  We'll have contest questions, challenges, chatter, and lots of samples with the new stamp sets to share during the party. Please make plans to join us from 7-10 central on StampTV!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,

GinaK Seeds of Kindness Card Kit Hop!

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are doing well and had a great weekend! Tonight over at Gina K - there is a fun blog hop with the gorgeous Seeds of Kindness stamp set that is part of this month's card kit! I love all the sentiments in this stamp set - they are so sweet and full of kindness - just like the title! I especially love this sentiment "It's the storm that makes a plant take deeper roots" - this is so true isn't it - sometimes after weathering storm - you come out stronger than you were before.

I stamped and copic-fied my cute little plant (not sure if this is true to life accurate! lol!) and then sponged it and cut it out with my oval nesties which were sad that they haven't been used :). I added a little outline of liquid pearls around the card and some bling in the scallops and the flowers:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket and Gina K Pure Luxury
Stamps: Seeds of Kindness stamp set from Gina K
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Rosebud and Spring Green
Accessories: Oval nesties, liquid pearls, clay grosgrain ribbon, pink bling,

For even more samples with the stamp sets being previewed tonight, check out these amazing designer's links:

Then for even more inspiration be sure to check out the Idea Center for all the samples that everyone has shared in the Stamp TV gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope your Monday starts off an amazing week for you!

Gina K Previews and Blog Hop!

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Today is the start of some wonderful sneak peeks over at Gina K Designs and you won't want to miss all the yumminess and sweetness of the stamps that Gina is releasing this month! Tonight, I get to preview the stamp set: Botanicals. This stamp set is part of the Card Kit - where if you buy this stamp set - you will also release the following cardstock: Red Hot, Fresh Asparagus, Chocolate Brown, Sweet Corn and Heavy Base White along with gold brads and a printed instruction sheet with measurements on how to make the set of three beautiful cards that Jessica created with this gorgeous set.

I love stamping with silhouette stamps - there are so many different techniques that you can use. One technique is to emboss them (you can emboss, then brayer and wipe off for that wonderful Zindorf look! which is something that I could never do and have it look just right). I thought it would look nice to stamp on the dark chocolate cardstock - so I stamped the image in Versamark and then embossed with some some polysparkle gold EP powder:

Here is another card that I made by stamping the silhouette stamp one color and then stamping it again immediately right next to the main "dark" stamped image - this gives it a little faded color - which is a nice way to give some dark/light shade in your card:

Tonight you will see two stamp sets that are being previewed!!! The Botanicals stamp set (like above) and the Beach Bums stamp set - you don't want to miss any of the fabu creations from these Designer's Links:
Please make plans to attend our Release party this Thursday night, May 27th from 7-10 central time which will be held at StampTV. There will be contest questions, challenges, samples from several designers and lots of chatter all leading up to 10pm central, when all the new products and stamp sets previewed this week on our blogs become available online through GinaK Designs store!

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight! Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Gina K Previews and Blog Hop!

Happy monday Everyone!

Its sneak peek time over at Gina K. and you might have seen a peek at some of the new sets that were peeked yesterday (so beautiful!) and today, we are showing you some more sneak peeks from the stamp sets: you seen all of the wonderful preview: Happy Spring stamp set and By Your Side stamp set by Aslea Hopkins.

The stamp set that is part of the Card Kit this month is the Happy Spring stamp set! This month there is a change in the card kit where each kit will receive the Happy Spring stamp set and instruction sheet along with 4 sheets of pure luxury cardstock, 1 sheet of exclusive patterned paper with 4 different designs, 1 yard of ribbon and brads (the cardstock will not be precut). The card below uses the digi paper that will be available through GinaK. and I have to say that I love the fact that it is already measured to the A2 size - so all you have to do is print and cut :).

The Happy Spring stamp set comes with such sweet sentiments and images and I love this image of the well and the water coming from it - I couldn't help pair it up with the sunny sentiment: "Hey Sunshine" :)

The second card is from the stamp set that is being sneaked peek is from the "By Your Side" stamp set that is illustrated Aslea Hopkins. I LOVE the images in this set, especially the sweet little Koi fishes - and the sweet sentiment: By Your Side Always:
I used the pure luxury papers for this card and I love how heavy it is to hold up my super layered koi pond :). Here is a closer look at the Koi pond (after coloring it in, I popped up a sheet of embossed acetate so that it would reflect some shadows into the "pond" :
I absolutely loved working with these darling stamps and can't wait to ink them all up :)

Tonight, we are having a blog hop that is featuring creations from these two stamp sets and I know that these ladies are going to blow you away with their gorgeous creations!!!

Card Club Sneak Peeks for Gina K.

Good Evening Everyone!!!

I am so excited to be part of the Card Kit Design Team for GinaK where every month with the purchase of a stamp set, a card kit with precut card stock and instructions to make 3 cards will be included at no extra cost! This month, the Card Club stamp set is Alicia's beautiful stamp set: Wishes and Dreams. This is such a great way to have beautiful papers, precut cardstock, etc. all in one kit ready to go!

I loved this little image of the sweet little fairy lying on a mushroom - so sweet - and the sentiments in this stamp set are so inspiring - I LOVE the sentiment: "If you can dream it, you can do it." It can be for so many different occasions.
Card Ingredients:
Paper: GinaK Pure Luxury cardstock Ink: Memento Ladybug Red Stamps: Wishes and Dreams by Alicia for GinaK Accessories:Ribbon from GinaK, Ek Success and Martha punches, Spellbinders and Embossing folders, bling, liquid pearls, Sakura gel pens, dimensionals, stickles.

I loved coloring in this sweet little fairy girl, that I couldn't resist making one more little something with her :) I used the sentiment "Dream Big" and dreaming big always makes me want to run in the warm sunshine - so I made this card bright and sunshiney :) I was going to give it away to a friend of mine - but I think I might just keep it right next to me on my craft corner to remind me to dream big :). I also used the challenge to do cheater bows for this card:

Card Ingredients: Paper: Sassafrass Lass, GinaK Pure Luxury Ink: Memento Aquamarine and Ladybug Red Stamps: Wishes and Dreams by Alicia for GinaK Accessories: bling and ribbon from my stash, dimensionals, stickles, sponger & spellbinders

Tonight, Tami Mayberry is also showing sneak peeks of her beautiful stamp set called Happy Hearts. I love all the fun designs of the hearts and all the interchangeable words that can create your own perfect sentiment :) My favorite sentiment for Valentine's day is "Happy Heart Day" - my good friend and I used to send each other cards for Valentine's day with that exact sentiment signed on the inside -so I was so excited to make a card for her with that sentiment :)

Card Ingredients: Paper: GinaK Pure Luxury Cardstock
Ink: Memento Aquamarine and Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red

Stamps:
Happy Heart by Tami Mayberry for GinaK Accessories: Ribbon from GinaK, bling from K&Co., dimensionals, EK sucess punch, Marvy heart scalloped punch, corner rounder.

It was so much fun to play along with these sweet stamp sets! I can wait to see what everone has created for these sneak peeks! Check out all of the other links to the GinaK designers for more sneak peek yumminess!

Tech Talk Blog Hop

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so happy to be part of the Tech Talk blog hop tonight where we are featuring the super cute and uber hip Tech Talk stamp set by Gina K. Senior DT & Illustrator: Melanie Muenchinger! I love the versatility of this stamp set - you can use it for so many different occasions! So I created four cards for four different occasions: friendship/thinking of you card, love/Valentine's Day card, Get Well soon card and a Thank You card:

---------Friendship Card----------

GinaK is now offering a CardKits that comes with a sketch and papers for the different stamp sets. This card is based on the sketch that Jessica created with THIS card for the Tech Talk stamp set. I CASED Jess's card with the cute little coffee cups and changed the sentiment. I love these sweet little mugs and they are the perfect size for paper piecing. I can't wait to give this to my coffee buddy :) the next time we meet up for a cup o' joe :). You can check out more about this card kit on this link on Jessica's blog or at Gina's store.

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Pure Luxury white cardstock, Rocket Red textured base and Cosmo Cricket (Early Sunrise)
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black and LadyBug Red
Accessories: Sakura black glaze pen, spellbinders and dimensionals, corner chomper, and ribbon from stash

---------Valentine's Day Card--------

This is for my DH - who is a total computer nut! I used to joke with him that he was already married when we met......to his MAC computer! So I was so excited to make this Valentine's day card for him (I can't believe that I made a Vday card in December!!) I stamped the computer image in metallic silver paper and then stamped the sentiments including the cute little heart stamp :). I matted everything in black for a more "manly" look (lol!) - I love all the different sentiments that are possible all on one screen!

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Pure Luxury white cardstock, Silver Lining paper american crafts, bazzil basics and scrap stash,
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black and Aquamarine
Accessories: Martha Stewart heart punch, Sakura black glaze pen, EK success punch, spellbinders and dimensionals

---------Get Well Soon Card--------

This next card is inspired by this awesome card by Melanie. I love how she created a little desk by splitting the image on a piece of DP. This one is for one of our uncles who is a little sick right now and so I was trying to make the card a bit more man-ish. The sentiment: "Sorry to hear you got a virus" is so perfect for the little computer screen (and I would love it if my computer were an olive green color!). The mug is paper pieced and the scalloped edging is from the DP.
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Pure Luxury white cardstock and Cosmo Cricket Early Sunrise
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Pear Tart
Accessories: ribbon from stash and copics

--------Thank You Card-------

This next card is for a dear blogging friend of mine who just sent me some amazing goodies in the mail! I was in such shock and awe and gratitude and was so happy that I could make her a card using sentiments that we use while blogging - like TTYS (talk to you soon)!. I stamped this cute little envelope in different colors and then created a little pocket for a tagged sentiment to go into - so that it looks like you are pulling out a message:
And When you pull it out - it reads: Thank You! ((((HUGS)))), iloveyou! and TTYS! I love that you can create a little message with all the different sentiments!. I punched an opening for the tags with half of a circle punch and then created the tags by matting them and then attaching little eyelets with ribbon tied to them that you can pull out:

Card Ingredients:
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black, Cottage Ivy, Rosebud, LadyBug and Aquamarine
Accessories:Stickles crystal, Martha Stewart mini scallop circle punch, Sakura black glaze pen, eyelets and cropadile, corner chomper and dimensionals

I had a total blast playing along with this super cute stamp set and check out these amazing artistes for more inspiration with the Tech Talk stamp set tonight:
