A Verve-y Kinda Wedding

Hi Everyone,

A few weeks ago a dear family friend of ours asked if I could help her create some signs and tags for her wedding - and I of course couldn't wait to create something that she like :) Her colors were lavender and cream and I created some samples for her to pick one from - she was so sweet - she like them all - and so we created different tags for different purposes. I used one of my most favorite stamp sets: "Love Story" from Verve stamps to create all these tags - this is such a versatile set - with sentiments both large and small - perfect for all kinds of sized projects!

I loved making these sweet tags and created about 200 or so for all the place tags for each person's place settings.I thought I would share some pictures from the weddings with these tags - here is one of the table settings:

Here is a close view of each person's place setting with the tag tied around the mason jar - I love the elegant and whimsy outdoor feel of her wedding theme - so beautiful! It was simply a magical day in every way! I loved how the tags came out and how they made each place setting so much fun :)

I varied the sentiments from "Happily Ever After" to "Together Forever" to "Everlasting Love". Here is a shot of one of the mason jars with another one of the sentiments:

Here is a tag that was used on one of the food tables - I used the sentiment: "Everlasting Love" from the Love Story stamp set from Verve Stamps:

I just loved creating these tags - and the best part was that my dearest friend and bride was happy! That makes everything worthwhile!! Please check out this awesome stamp set - Love Story from Verve Stamps - with wedding season approaching this summer - this is a total awesome one to have for all kinds of projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Mojo Monday 156 - Love is a Friendship caught on Fire

Good Morning Everyone,

A couple of mornings ago, I got to do something special - I got to have a little breakfast date with my DH :) I think I can count on one hand all of the times that we have done something - just the two of us - since the kids were born. But totally spontaneously, my DH asked me out the night before because he had a cancellation at work and he wanted to know if he could take me out to breakfast :) Awww :) With both of our wee ones in school, it was so awesome to go out in the morning after we dropped them off and spend a little bit of time together catching up :)

I wanted to make a little card for him to tell him how much our marriage, his friendship, love and support mean to me - so I created a little card that I could give him at the coffeehouse :) I used the gorgeous Mojo Monday sketch #156 and used the beautiful stamp set from Verve called Love Story for my card. I think this is one of the best stamp sets for weddings, anniversaries and just your everyday "I love you" card :) I went with the black and white theme and added some red as a pop of color.
This sentiment: "Love - a friendship caught on Fire" is one of my most favorite sentiments. I feel so lucky that my DH is my bestest friend - ever since the beginning we have had an awesome friendship, and being married to my best friend is such blessing :) I paper pieced the elegant hearts with some scraps of DP and then added a little bit of bling, stickles, liquid pearls and ruffled up my ribbon. Here is a close up of part of the card:

And here is a picture of us at the coffeehouse where I surprised my DH with his little love card :) He loved it and it was so cute that he wanted me to tell him how I made it :) LOL - so sweet!

I think we decided that we might just have to make this a tradition! Maybe next time, he could make a card for me :))))) lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Sankari :)
