JustRite Stamps: Introducing: Sending You Sunshine!!!

Hi Everyone,

Today over at the JustRite blog, we are sneaking some samples from the gorgeous stamp set: Sending You Sunshine stamp set which fits into a 2" stamp set and has 6 designer centers and 6 borders. As soon as I saw the name of this stamp set, immediately already fell in love with it - I love all things sunshine - and then I saw the beautiful sentiments and sweet images and I totally loved everything about this stamp set!

I love the sentiment: Sending you Sunshine and I wanted to make a sunshiney card - so I thought I would create a peeking sun with some rays of sunshine, along with some fun pennants hanging in a corner. I stamped the sentiment with the 2" stamper in Ladybug Red and then cut it out with my circle nesties. I cut out some strips of cardstock for the rays and then cut out the pennants and popped it up with dimensionals:

I added some liquid pearls on the rays and added a row of bling to the bottom of the card and finished it up with some orange ribbon. Release DAY: Taylored Expressions!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Today is Release Day over at Taylored Expressions!!! Woot!! There are so many wonderful stamps, Project Pantry kits and Taylored dies that are being released today (check out the full menu up!!). Today, I have quick little invitation that you can create for a baby shower. 

I don't know what happened this spring - but it seems that everyone around me is pregnant - I have 10 friends/family/coworkers who announced that they were pregnant between the months of March and April!! WOW! One of them is a dear friend of mine who knows that she is having a wee little baby boy - and so I created this invitation (good thing we have 9 months, to 6 months left) to create more :) I used the Invitation A La Carte Stamp along with the Heart Frame A La Carte for this card and used the sweet little carriage from the Welcome Little One stamp set . Taylor is also releasing two kits for boys and girl - the Alphabet Soup Boy kit and the Alphabet Soup Girl kit - which comes with papers, ribbon, cardstock to create your own cards. Everything below is from the Alphabet Soup Boy kit (except for the buttons). 

I absolutely love this gorgeous Heart Frame A La Cate stamp - how sweet is that! I also used the Bracket stamp in the Welcome Little One stamp set that coordinates with the Bracket Die that Taylor is releasing today as well.

The inside of the card is very simple and quick - I stamped the Invitation A La Carte Stamp and then matted it onto a piece of DP from the Alphabet Soup Boy kit that also had a die cut star that put on the bottom corner. I stamped in faint Summer sky ink the baby carriage from the Bringing Home Baby stamp set directly onto the invitation:

April Diva Dare - Day 9

Hi Everyone,

I am hostess today over at the Verve Stamps blog where this month's Diva Dare, the challenge is to create something with the theme "April Showers Bring May Flowers". This challenge is such a lovely one because it is so much fun to play with and combine all the lovely flower images the amazing and lovely Julee has designed and created! I choose to use the lovely stamp set Bloom and Grow which is full of flowers of all sizes and types and paired it with the lovely Mother's Day sentiment, which is from the Love Deepens Stamp set.

Here is a little Mother's Day Gift set with a card  using the Mojo Monday 189 sketch.  and a container that I intend to fill with some yummy chocolates :)

I stamped the flower from the  Bloom and Grow stamp set in to different colors and cut each one out to layer together with a decorative brad.  After creating the flowers, I stamped the leaf image inis stamp set and cut it out suing the with the ELegant Leaf die stamp set.

I created a coordinating container that can be filled with chocolates and other treats and then later used to store other memorabilia.

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks - Day 3 !!!!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks over at Taylored Expressions - where today we are sneaking peeks from so many wonderful new stamp sets and the introduction of two new girls to the Taylored Expressions: The Moka Girls!! Along with the Moka girls, there are also sneak peeks from a new FABULOUS bag that you can create with a brand new die called the: Shopping Bag and Labels Die set that coordinates with the It's In the Bag stamp set that was concepted and illustrated by the lovely Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line. This is a full stamp set that comes with 27 image (wow!) and you can create tiny shopping bags out of them for all different occasions (wedding, shower, birthday, etc.). They come with tiny labels, sentiments and tiny images that you can stamp directly onto the bag - seriously awesome awesome awesome!!! Here is a picture of the shopping bag label die - isn't it just adorable with those tiny labels that can also be cut out for the shopping bags?!

I love this bag - it is so awesome that you can cut it so easily and pair it up on a card or use it for little favors. For this card, I made a happy birthday card for a friend of mine who loves to shop - and used the awesome sentiment: Enjoy a Fabulous Day along with the small sentiment Happy Birthday that I put right on the tiny label. I used this stamp set with the gorgeous papers from Websters: Trendsetters.

Here is a close up of the bag from some different angles. I cut out the bag with black cardstock and then for the bag front I stamped one of the beautiful motif labels that you can stamp and adhere to the front of the bag. I stamped the motif in Ladybug Red ink and then sponged it about a bit before putting the labels on to the bag that I stamped with Happy Birthday:

There are seriously a zillion different possibilities for all the things that you can do with this die and coordinating stamp set!! LOVE it! And speaking of love, I adore this new summer wreath which is part of the Seasonal Wreath collection that was concepted by Jami Sibley and beautifully illustrated by Nancy McKinney - love that you can create wreaths all year long and that it coordinates with the Seasonal Wreath die and Basic Bow Die! Gotta love that coordination!!

I created a circle card of sorts using the Blossom 3 die from Spellbinders - I love the way you can layer it up - and used the papers from the  Hometown Summer 6x6 Paper Pack for the different layers: I cut out the summer wreath and popped it up onto the center flower and then added the sentimnet: Sending you Sunshine in the middle - love the happiness of these flowers and the sweet and beautiful butterflies in this stamp set!!!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks - Day 2!!!!

I made a baby girl card for a dear friend of mine from high school using the beautifully illustrated  Bringing Home Baby stamp set - which is illustrated by amazing talents of the one and only Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line. This stamp set has 23 images and has the cutest images of nursery decor items as well as little mini images that you can use to create a little nursery scene or simple CAS cards - simply adorable!!!

I stamped the window and dresser in this stamp set and colored them with copics and glazed them, before popping them up on dimensionals onto the cardstock sheet. Onto the dresser I stamped, colored. cut and popped up various little decorations that are in this stamp set (seriously - there are SOOO many awesome little yummy stamps in this set!) and created a little scene using the stamps. I used the SCS sketch #330 from last week as my sketch inspiration. The border of the central image panel is bordered by the Scalloped Eyelet Border die from Taylored Expressions.  The buttons are from stash and are weaved and tied with some twine and I used the same twine to tie the sentiment: "It's a Girl!" on the the ribbon. I finished it off with a wee bit of liquid pearls and bit of glitter from my Spica pens.

I really love how this turned out and can't wait to send it over to my friend! And one day soon, I hope I get to meet her little girl! Well, after making this Baby Girl card, I thought I would make a Baby Boy card :) using the second stamp set that we are previewing today called Baby Cakes!

The Baby Cakes stamp set not only has Cuppie but now Cuppie has a baby cupcake!!! Awww!!! This adorable stamp set illustrated by the wonderfully talented Jessie Oleson , has 18 images with sweet Cuppie and mini Cupkins with the sweet est sentiments ever. I have always adored Cuppie and now I love that there are mini Cuppie Cakes in the mix :) For my card today, I used the Spotted Owl DP from Jillibean Soup for a fun boy look :) I stamped Cuppie holding wee cuppie in a sling (which by the way is the only way I survived having my babies - I just carried them here and there and it was so easy and lovely! I was so excited that there was a Cuppie holding baby in a sling image! :) I popped Cuppie onto the From the Heart Frame die.  I used the Taylored Expressions Pennant Border Die with the TE Small Scallop die border on top of the card and finished it off with some hand cut hearts and a poofy ribbon :)

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks - Day 1 !!!

Hi Everyone!

I don't know if you saw Taylor's sweet post on Friday where she shared a wonderful announcement that she and her husband Jon were pregnant and expecting their first child in September this year!! Woo-Hoo!! The whole Baker's Dozen Design Team is so excited for Taylor and Jon and we all can't wait to meet the new little cupcake!!!

What a better way to celebrate than to share some sneak peeks from this month's May Release which features the cutest baby stamps - all of which are available this Thursday, May 5th!!! 
Today the Baker's Dozen are previewing so many lovely sweet little stamps for creating sweet baby cards and invitations:

Today, I decided to make a trio of Baby Onesie cards using the super sweet Welcome Baby stamp set that was designed by Taylor! This stamp set is part of the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree Program where the purchase of this set will help to support the Bethany Christian Services, which is the nation's largest adoption agency. They have wonderful services for adoption, temporary foster care, counseling, training and famly support - all to ensure that children thrive in safe and loving families. Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to Bethany Christian Services for each WElcome Little One stamp set that will be sold in the next 3 months!


This stamp set is just so sweet and has not only the sweetest images, but also the sweetest sentiments! And a portion from the purchase of this stamp set will be going to a wonderful organization - which also means that this stamp set will come untrimmed as a sheet of rubber (needs to be trimmed) so that more proceeds can go to charity. I was going to download a baby onesie template and then cut it out and create a card that way - but my printer did not have ink - so I cut out an A2 card and drew a template, cut it out and traced it onto two more cards :) I used a pink and blue (these papers are from the MME Fine and Dandy collection) and green DP from Basic Grey. I used one of the block square stamps in the stamp set for the center image of the onesie - which I then cut and popped up onto the newly to be released Bracket Frame Die that I popped up over the ribbon onto the onesie:

On the inside, I used this super sweet sentiment that I stamped in the respective matching inks and then embellished with some sweet images that are stamped open so that you can color them in. I love that this stamp set no only has solid images, but also coordinating open images that can be colored or paper pieced. Here is a picture of the inside of the onesies:

One each of the onesies I added a little Vintage Crochet Trim and cut the edges with a mini scallop punch from EK success - and of course had to add some liquid pearls to the edges as well :) Here is a picture of the Bracket Frame Die - as you can see on the onesie card (which is basically a wee bit smaller than an A2 card - this die is an awesome one for sentiments and images for cards - and it coordinates so beautifully with all the square images in this stamp set (which stamp as a block of color).

Here is another peek at the trio - love how easy and quick it was to make -
and I simply adore the sweet sentiment inside!

I love all the images (all 26 images!) in this stamp set and it is the perfect set for invitations for showers, baby announcements and welcome or congratulations baby cards!!! I can't wait to see what all the lovely ladies have created with this super sweet stamp set(s) today! Please check them out:

JustRite Stamps Elegant Frames: There's No One Like You.....

This weekend has zipped by so quickly that I am suddenly surprised that it is almost May?! Wait when did that happen? I wanted to make a card for one of my friends who is also my tango dance teacher who has been tirelessly teaching us a routine for an upcoming performance. As I thought about her - I wanted to create a card that was mainly red and black and slightly tilted just like the one side slit on a tango dress. I had to use this gorgeous sentiment: "There is No One Like You" from the Elegant Frames stamp set from JustRite Stamps (cling stamp set).

This sentiment is sooo right for her - because she is so amazing and one of a kind - and she is very adored by all of her students. I can't wait to give this to her and thank her for all her hard work teaching her students.

You Are In My Thoughts....

Hi Everyone,

I love that this month, Taylor had a surprise Mid-Month release - full of fun ways to create labels and pennants - and all kinds of other creative ways to display sentiments. One of the stamp sets released this mid-month was the Labels of Love stamp set that coordinates with the Ribbon Trio 3 dies from Spellbinders (you can check out how to get both of these here). I used one of the labels from the Labels of Love stamp set and into that I stamped the sentiment: "You're in My Thoughts". I used the coordinating Spellbinder's die to cut out the label from a black piece of cardstock and then I cut the label out and popped it on dimensionals after the ribbon was slid through the label (hope that sentence read better than it sounds :)

Stamps: Labels of Love stamp set (label and sentiment), Rose from the New Beginnings Stamp set

This card was so much fun to make - and a really easy one for mass producing - so I can't wait to make more with different sentiments.

Easter Greetings

Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a wonderful Easter - it was a most perfect sunshiney Spring day here and the kids really had a wonderful time finding Easter eggs hidden all around the lawn - the pure excitement and joy in their faces was just precious! 

When we got home, I realized that I hadn't posted an Easter card that I made yesterday to give to their aunt and uncle today. I used the super cute little guy named Chaz from the Chicks Rule stamp set with the lovely sentiment from the Egg-stra Special stamp set from Verve stamps.

I love the beautiful Charming Oval dies from Verve Stamps - they can not only be used for sentiments - but also the eggs are perfect for cutting eggs out of DP. I loved this beautiful card that Amy created and was inspired to create a similar one with hanging eggs. I love little Chaz from the Chicks Rule stamp set peeking out from the corner :)

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #10 from Taylored Expressions - CAS challenge

Hi Everyone!

Every month, Taylor hosts a Blast from the Past Challenge customer blog hop, where we all get to play with previously released stamp sets from Taylored Expressions. This month's blog hop's theme is to go CAS (Clean And Simple) and I think these are the most difficult kind of cards for me - who knew that a CAS card could be extremely difficult?! Well, it was also hard because I wanted to make some sympathy cards for my DH's family - its hard to make a sympathy card to begin with - but it was much more difficult to create this set of sympathy cards for my DH's family. His godfather passed away this weekend - and it is hard to believe - I always felt like he could live forever. I created this set of cards using the sketch provided for this month's April Blast from the Past and using the absolutely beautiful stamp sets Summer Afternoon and  Care & Comfort. 

I kept everything very simple - I hope this still counts as CAS (?) I layered the butterflies from the Butterflies die trio (from Taylored Expressions) using some of the new MME papers and adding a pearl to the center and ribbon to the side and embossed the the beautiful poppies silhouette with some StarDust EP. The image panel was then cut out with the wonky rectangle nestie and then matted again with a pinecone bazzil paper. The sentiment was cut with the Nested pennant flag and before I adhered it to the kraft cardstock after scoring and sponging it.

It was hard to make these cards - and its going to be even harder to write the inside -but I feel so happy that I was able to create this for my family - something from our hearts during this difficult time.

Taylored Expressions Special Release

Hi everyone,

Today we have something exciting and totally awesome over at Taylored Expressions: A Mid-month Release! Woo-hoo!!! The stamps, dies and papers that were released earlier this month were so lovely and today there is MORE!- we are sneaking peeks from 3 stamp sets today - all of which also coordinate with Spellbinders dies! AND the best part is that it is available for purchase: TODAY!!! 

Both stamp sets are made of deeply etched red rubber on EZ cling mount - already trimmed and ready to get stamped! Here are the sweet stamp sets that we are releasing today:

1. Labels of Love - which coordinates with the Ribbon Tags Trio 3 from Spellbinders. 

2. You're My Type Upper/Lower along with the Nested Pennants/ Lacey Pennants.

GET WELL SOON:

The first card that I did today uses the Labels of Love stamp set - which I totally have fallen in love with! This stamp set was designed and illustrated by Taylor as part of the "te" collection and is a full sized stamp set featuring 31 images (WOW!) and has 7 frames, 6 flourishes and 18 sentiments for every occasion and frame styles that can coordinate with the sentiments within this stamp and also with the stamps that you already have! These dies coordinate perfectly with the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 3 and cuts out 2 die slits at either end to slide the ribbon through! Here is an example of one of the Tags - and how to slide a ribbon through:

This makes it super simple to have a sentiment sit ontop of a ribbon and also to tie a bow at the end of the tag. For my first project today, I paired the the Labels of Love sentiment: "Get Well Soon" with the bottom die from the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 3 . I used the Brand spankin' new April Key Ingredients that are filled with soft colors and super sweet embellishments (you can read all about Taylor's Key Ingredients feature and this month's Key Ingredients HERE). I stamped the label in Rose Bud ink and then stamped the sentiment in Bahama blue  in the middle. It is so quick to line up the coordinating tag and then cut it out. I ran the Leafy Branch die through and then added some roses from the KI kit and finished it off with a little butterfly from the Butterfly trio dies that I adorned onto a die cut square:

Here is a close up of the butterfly, the label and the leafy branch dies (i hand cut the innter oval and popped it up a little more and added one of the many flourishes to the center of the sentiment:

CONGRATULATIONS

The second project today features the super awesome You're My Type Upper/Lower along with theNested and Lacey Pennants. The You're My Type Upper/Lower : are 2 separate Mini Stamp sets (mini means that each stamp is on a 4.75 square sturdy storage full color panel). 

Both the Upper and Lower sets includes 26 images from A-Z - the Lower set has another additional 10 sets which include the numbers 1 -0 for a total of 36 stamps!!!.  These stamp sets work perfectly into the Nested and Lacey Pennants - and are beyond awesome for personalizing messages, names, events, and so many more occasions! They are a wonderful size and such a fun font! They coordinate perfectly with the 1/2" circle punch - but I used the 1/2" square punch and matted it onto the 3/4" circle punch - so how ever you want to do it - its the perfect way to create your own sentiments - whether punching them out individually - or stamping them out as a lined sentiment! love the versatility!

For my second project, I wanted a slightly different shape and so I used the Grand Nestabilities Labels 1 with my Grand Calibur - which I have to say is just awesome - I love that it can cut the large die shapes and at the same time you can also run all of the regular die shapes in them all at once!

After running this through - I cut the Labels 1 in half - I wanted to use this half shape on my card and can save the other half for a future project :)

It's also easy to run all the dies (you can stack so many dies and run them all together) and so it made creating a pennant much easier/faster. I wanted to tweet my "Congratulations" to two of my friends who decided to finally get engaged over the weekend (yay!) - so I stamped the word congratulations using the You're My Type Upper, You're My Type Lower stamps and then punching it out with a 1/2" square and matting it onto a 3/4" inch punched black circles and popped them up onto the nested and lacey pennants that I strung into a little banner and tied little twine ribbons at either end. In the middle I put a little heart and used the the sweet little birds from the Tweethearts stamp set in the middle. 

Here is a close up of the letters that I punched out with a square 1/2" punch and then popped up on a 3/4" circle that was then popped up on the pennant (nested matted onto the lacey pennants) and then popped up onto the cardstock (needless to say - this will be handed over in person :D)
