Happy Friday Everyone,
I have been feeling like its been Friday since Tuesday- so I am really happy that today is the real thing! Nothing like celebrating Friday with a little color challenge from Kristina Werner. Her latest color inspiration challenge (#38) uses four colors: ruby red, pumpkin pie, whisper white and pretty in pink. Fun colors from an awesome inspiration piece of a notebook from her co-workers desk from SeeJaneWork. Here is my offering for the challenge:
I liked all the white with the little color in the inspiration piece - so I tried to keep it simple. I was trying to figure out some simple Valentine's cards to send out that I could make quickly in an assembly line - this might be one. I have totally fallen in love with this little elephant - my son has named this elephant "Sweetie" (he just turned 4 - and I totally love that he wanted to name the elephant Sweetie).
I embossed the sentiment on white cardstock, The elephant is cut out three times on all the colors (except white). I cut out the ears from the orange and pink colors and adhered the orange one under the die cut and the pink as a shadow to the ear. The same thing I did with the hearts. I was surprised at how quickly the card came together - and that is always a plus :)
Hope you guys are having a wonderful Friday!
Thanks for coming to visit :)
Ciao for now,
Sankari
