Welcome Everyone to the Spring Fling Blop Hop where we are partying it up as Julee releases 4 AMAZING stamp sets and 5 Plain Janes over at a slice of Paradise (also known as the Verve Stamps store :). I just wanted to share some creations for you :) Some of them you might have already seen over at the party over at Splitcoast - but if not here are some creations from Julee's amazing new release - SERIOUSLY - these are all must have sets (not to enable or anything :) but they are simply pure sunshine goodness!!!
I have been wanting some sunshine stamps for SUCH a long time (i love sunshine - i even threw it in my blog name :))) and the sunshine stamps that Julee created are amazing!!! Here is one from my new favorite stamp set: Let it Shine: (I tore off some brown cardstock to create mountains and sponged the clouds with some blue chalk ink:)
I LOVE the feeling of this set - it is FILLED with the perfect-est sunshiney sentiments! Here is another card made with both the Let it Shine stamp set and the Feel the sun stamp set (where the sentiment is from!! I love this sentiment! It is such a great reminder to do that everytday and I thought it paired really nicely with the Joy Ride papers from Cosmo Cricket :)Here is a card that I made using the Easter Joy Stamp set :) I loved these papers from Kaiser and although I usually go for bright and "loud" colors :) I had to get them and thought that they paired so nicely with this gorgeous stamp set of Julee's!
This next card is made with the sketch that Amy Sheffer designed for Challenge #2 over at the Verve blog - and I paired it up with this beautiful stamp set called: This is totally a must have birthday set - it has all kinds of Happy Birthday greetings in different styled fonts! And this cake is just divine! It was really hard to concentrate while I was coloring it because all I wanted was cake!!
Speaking of Challenges - Julee has 5 Challenges going on over at the Verve blog - and just by playing along - you can win some of this sunshiney Verve-y goodness!!! Here are the challenges:
Challenge #4 Hostess: Susan - Tag it (create a tag, or two or 5 :)
Challenge #5 - Hostess: Sankari (hey, wait - that's me!) Go Green, ReDo, ReCycyle, ReUse!
In case you missed it on the Verve blog today, my Challenge #5 is to "Go Green" for Spring by Recycling, Re-Using or Re-Furbishing something that you already have in your house and bring new life into them :) For my "Re-Cycle and Re-Use" project, I decided to give this birdhouse candleholder some spring cleaning love :). I repainted it and using the colors in Jackie's challenge #3 and used my new favorite stamp set :) Let it Shine to create the sun borders and for the sentiment (I stamped the sun on some of the Origins paper by BG and then cut them out to create a border for either side of the tree house - you know how I love to cut paper :D
I stamped the sentiment: "Let it Shine" on the inside and the sentiment: "Sunshine and Smiles"on the tag for Susan's Challenge #4. I love putting a candle in it now - so that even in the dark - there is a little bit of that sunshine shining through, which always makes me smile :)
I cut out some flowers from the Feel the Sun stamp set around the fence on the bottom as part of Lynda's Challenge #1 on using some flowers in your creation:
I loved creating this project and love seeing this little candleholder all bright and sparkley with some Verve love all over it :) We would love for you to play along with us for all of these challenges!!!
Are you ready for MORE Verve-y goodness!!??!!
Well, next up on the hop is the AMAZING AMY SHEFFER!!!!!! I know you don't want to miss Amy's amazing creations!!!! I am off to hop too!!
