Taylored Expressions May Sneak Peek: Happily Ever After and Damask Flourishes

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Day 2 of the May Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions!! Can you believe its MAY! And I don't know about you - but May is one of the most craziest months in terms of activities - graduation, teacher's appreciation parties, baseball and soccer tournamnets, birthdays and WEDDINGS!! The summer wedding season has begun and I am so excited for my friends who are coming together in holy matrimony :) If you are in need of making wedding cards, anniversary projects or just celebrating a lifetime of love - then you won't want to miss this month's release from TE tomorrow morning at 8am PST! For my project today, I created two projects - one a wedding card for my friends wedding this summer and another an anniversary card celebrating 40 years of marriage (WOW!)

The wedding card was made using the Happily Ever After stamp set which has such gorgeous flowers - the flowers are both solid (so you can ink it directly) and open (so you can get some color therapy and color in ;). I chose to use the Fancy Pants - Park Bench (6x6 paper pad) and matched my ink colors with this color scheme. I stamped the flowers a couple of times and then cut out the smaller flower and popped it up onto the bigger flower and then punched out some circles from the DP with some bling for the flower centers.

I cut out some leaves using the Leafy Branch Die from TE and then placed them here and there amongst the flowers. I stamped the sentiment and then used my corner punch to create rounded corners on the sides of the sentiment panel to round it out a bit - and then popped it on the circle punch with a nestie mat - here is a closer look at this card:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Choice Snow White cardstock and
Fancy Pants - Park Bench 6x6 paper pad

Stamps: Happily Ever After from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Cantaloupe and Chalk inks: Ice Blue and Yellow Ochre
Accessories: Bling, Leafy Branch Die from TE, yellow grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Spellbinders nesties, circle punch, corner punch, EK success border die

For my second project today, I created an anniversary card using the new Damask Flourishes die from Taylored Expressions and paired it with the sweet sentiment from the new to be released stamp set: Lifetime of Love. This damask has a ton of possibilities - it makes it super simple to create an elegant card and really makes it easy to make a card that looks like you did a lot of work :). I kept my color scheme neutral with a little pop of turquoise and used up some scrap papers that were lying on my desk. I cut out the Damask Flourishes die with some gray cardstock and and then used the new to be released Band It Die to created a center panel for the sentiment. I then used some liquid pearls to dot up different parts of the flourish for some flourish ;)

Here is a closer look at the card. The center panel is vellum - to give it a softness and I added some pearls with hearts on the side and finished it with some silver ribbon on the side :

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Choice Snow White cardstock and Gray cardstock from Bazzill, vellum and scrap paper

Stamps: Lifetime of Love from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento London Fog
Accessories: Pearls, Damask Flourishes, silver ribbon, liquid pearls, Band It Die from TE, heart punch, corner punch and dimensionals

Please check out my amazing team mates and check out all the new stamp sets and dies that will be released tomorrow!! Hop along with me and check them out!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please hop over tomorrow and celebrate the May release!
Hope your day is filled with sunshine and awesomeness!
Hugs,
Sankari :)
