World Card Making Day with Taylored Expressions

Hi Everyone!

Happy World Card Making Day! All of the new Taylored Expressions products from the October release are SO cute and are in the TE store – and even though release week is over, the crafty fun keeps going! In honor of World Card Making Day – We created some fun TE card, and for me – I HAD to use the super cute Peppermint Place stamp set with the Merry and Bright Project Pantry - love these bright and colorful papers! This stamp set is such a must have for everything winter wonderland because it features THE cutest gingerbread house – makes me want to make some hot chocolate and eat some gingerbread!!!

I wanted to keep the layout really simple and so I didn’t have a sentiment on the outside – only on the inside. I colored in the gingerbread house with some copics and then colored in the outside with some bright and fun copics. I stamped some pennants from the Christmas Countdown stamp set and paper pieced them with some cute DP and then added it to the side of the image.
 Card Ingredients;
Stamps: Peppermint Place and Christmas Countdown stamp set (for the pennants on the side) from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Bahama blue
Papers: All cardstock, ribbon and designer paper are from the Merry & Bright Project Pantry
Accessories: corner chomper, tacky tape, dimensionals, pearls, Make a Snowflake die, embossing folder, liquid pearls, copics

The Merry and Bright Project Pantry kit is such a great one to have for your holiday cards - AND in honor of World Card Making Day -  today there is a SPECIAL where you can receive 15% off on card kits and project pantry kits . Just go to the Current Specials Page at the TE store and ender this coupon code! Such a great way to celebrate World Card Making Day!
the inside I added this super sweet sentiment – and then added some candy canes on the bottom – sigh!! Such a cute little house – glad that I don’t live in a gingerbread house though because I could never leave – I would just be sitting there the whole day eating gingerbread walls! HA! They would have to roll me out of the house by breaking down the door lol!

Well, I can’t wait to see what all the lovely creations are from all of these amazing designers - please hop along with me and check them out!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,

This challenge is open to everyone and if you play along - you could win some amazing prizes from Taylored Expressions!

This month I chose to use Moka April with my Perpetual Occasions Calendar which is perfect for keeping track of monthly anniversaries or birthdays! Decorating the whole calendar is also a great gift to give to someone - it is one calendar product that stays the same year to year and will make organizing birthday gifts, sending out cards much easier. I love Moka April's sweet little bunny ears - and paper pieced her dress and then cut her out.

I stamped the clouds in the background using the Clouds Border Edge die. The clouds were stamped using Bahama Blue ink not only for Moka April's background but also for  sentiment is from the Spring Cottage stamp set and I die cut the easter eggs using the newly released A Trisket A Tasket die from Taylored Expressions.

Here is a picture of the whole calendar page - I continued sponging the clouds on the whole page and then at the bottom of the page, I added some flowers from the Faith in Bloom stamp set

Card Ingredients:

Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone!

In two days it will be the Chinese New Year (Year of the Dragon!) and I thought it would be fun to make a Happy New Year card for one of my friends and used the Happy new Year A La Carte from Taylored Expressions to create this card.

I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out using the Frame It Up 1 die from Taylored Dies and then created a mat layer by tracing the outside of the die on a piece of kraft card stock. I used the Pennant Border Dies from Taylored Expressions to create a little celebratory border on top and then added some clear polka dot ribbon around the center of the card base and then put the sentiment onto of it.

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket: Salt Air and Choice Snow White card stock from Taylored Expressions
StampsHappy New Year A La Carte from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Ink Tuxedo Black and copics
Accessories: liquid pearls, Frame it Up 1 die and Pennant Border from Taylored Expressions, ribbon from stash, bling and dimensionals.

I don't know about you, but all of my New Year's resolutions have been broken and I am excited to try again with the Chinese New Year to have my resolutions last longer than three days :) lol! Hope that you have are having a beautiful weekend and have a beautiful new start to the Year of the Dragon!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Big hugs,

Hi Everyone!

Today marks the first day of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions for this month's amazing and awesome October release! My oh My oh MY!!!! Talk about yummo stamps, project pantry kits and delicious dies! Today we are sneaking peeks from so many awesome stamp sets that you will be reeling from the gorgeousness of it all! For my first project today, I created a set of cards that can be mass produceable using the new winter wonder-awesome stamp set: Woodland Winter which was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink Collection and features the cutest little animal cutie pies to create awesome winter scenes.

I used the Gift Card Frame Die to cut out DP from the 12 Days Project Pantry kit to create the background and then used the Trim the Tree die (that will be released on Thursday) that coordinates with the sweet Christmas Tree in this stamp set to cut out 4 trees and then used the layered Christmas tree dies to layer different colors of the DP onto the tree and popped it up onto the Gift Card Frame Die. It was fun to mix and match the different DP's and at the same time try to keep it simple :) I finished it up by using the the Pennant Border Die across the side of the card and then added some bling onto the tree and stamped the sentiment onto the side of the card.

Here is a pic of one of the cards - I loved making this so much - and seriously can't wait to make more! It was so much fun to make this card using the fun papers in this 12 Days of Christmas Project PantryWhen you want to bake up a yummy dessert you head to your pantry for the ingredients.  When you want to create a sweet papercrafting project, you can head to our Project Pantry for all the coordinating elements.  We've found that some of the best cake and cookie recipes are the ones based around a basic batter or dough recipe with lots of options to spice it up according to your tastes.  Taylored Expressions is offering our Basic Recipe Kit along with optional Spice It Up Ingredients that you can pick and choose from to build the kit just the way you want it.

For my next project, I used the gorgeous new Moka that will be part of the Moka Collection - introducing: Moka Hope! October is breast cancer awareness month. TE will donate $1 from the sale of each Moka Hope set to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This set is so perfect for all types of encouragement - and the ribbon that she wears around her can be customized to any color for any cause. This petite set was designed and illustrated by Nancy McKinney and is so sweet - I chose to make this sweet Moka holding a ribbon for breast cancer awareness for the card drive that Taylored Expressions is a proud sponsor of the Hope You Can Cling To card drive - Everyone can play the challenges on SCS during October and donateyour cards to the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.

I used the sweet papers from the Echo Park Victorian Garden  paper collection and paper pieced Moka Hope's dress with the papers and colored in the ribbon and the rest of her with copics. I created a frame to put her in and used one of the Felt Pearl Blossoms (Pink and Grey) for one side of the card and stamped the sentiment: "Once you choose hope, Anything is Possible" - Christopher Reeve - such an inspiring sentiment!

I can't wait to see all the gorgeous creations that the awesome design team has created for today's eye candy wonderment!!! Please check out all of their awesome creations:

August Blast from the Past from Taylored Expressions

    Hi Everyone!

Today over at the Taylored Expressions, we are having the monthly Blast from the Past Customer Blog hop, where everyone can hop along with a previously released stamp set and can use the BFTP sketch if they would like. This month's theme was Collector's Anonymous - and wow! did that start my thinking cap going... I think, I might have a crafting addiction... (yes, I said it out loud! okay, I wrote it out loud!)
My craft area is in our bedroom and pretty much every square inch of it, except the bed has something of my craft "corner" in it - I was hoping my DH would get the hint and figure out that I needed my own room, but he seems really happy with just having a bed and being able to go to sleep at night! My resolution this month is to really go through all my stuff (esp. all the wood mounted stamps!) and have a major purge - will have to do a "before and after" picture! But in the meantime I love creating cards in my craftbedroom :) where I can eat, sleep and create! Which is why I HAD to use that exact same sentiment from the Knit Wit stamp set and pair it up with the images from the Collector's Anonymous stamp set from Taylored Expressions :).  I used the sketch for today's hop, but I kinda embellished it a little more  (more is more right?! :) I have been collecting buttons for so long and I love how they can add just the right punch to a card - so I pulled out one of my 5 collecting boxes of buttons and found these 3 BoBunny Buttons that went perfect with this card :) I think I might have to make 30000 cards covered with buttons to use up all the buttons I have :)

I love these fun images in these stamp sets and tried my hand at masking (Taylor is such a masking expert! I usually cut and pop up images and it was so much fun to stamp and color the bottles of buttons and stacks of ribbon and bunches of glue together - almost looks like my craft desk :)

    Card Ingredients:
Paper: Choice Snow White Cardstock and Life of the Party papers from My Mind's Eye!
Stamps: sentiment from the Knit Wit stamp set and pair it up with the images from the Collector's Anonymous stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Ladybug Red, Tuxedo Black and Berrylicious Chalk Ink and copics
Accessories: Buttons from Bo Bunny, rhinestones, ribbon from Stash, Spellbinders, corner chomper, bow easy and glue dots (and dimensionals) :) and can you believe it - not liquid pearls!!

After stamping and coloring the images, I cut the it out using the From the Heart Die and then popped it up onto the Take Note 3 die from the Taylored Die collection and matted it onto the awesomely fun Life of the Party papers from My Mind's Eye!
I loved making this card and loved trying my hand at masking! I can't wait to see what awesomeness everyone has created with this theme! And I am so glad that I have this crafting addiction because I have had the chance to meet all of you through it!! :)

One random hopper on today's blog will receive a FREE Taylored Expressions stamp set of choice and another hopper's creation will be featured in the upcoming TE newsletter! Please stop by Taylor's blog to see how you can join the next Blast From the Past hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
    Big hugs,
    Sankari :)

     Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the first day of the sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions - yay! Today we are all featuring the beautiful new stamp set: Joy to the World (illustrated by the amazing and sweet Nancy McKinney!) which is the newest stamp set that is part of the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree program. Each quarter, Taylor chooses a charity that she donates a portion of the proceeds from the sales of a particular stamp set - and this quarter she has chosen the Angel Tree as the charity to support because it's something she has been involved with for many years through churches she has attended.  Angel Tree is a program administered by Prison Fellowship whose Mission is to seek the transformation of prisoners and their reconciliation to God, family and community through the power of Jesus Christ.  Angel Tree invites churches to provide Christmas gifts to the children of inmates across the country.  Their website says :

"It starts with a gift.  But it's so much more.

Giving+Tree+Logo.jpgEvery child has a story. For 1.7 million American children, that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness, and shame that comes from having a mom or dad in prison. At Angel Tree, we find ways to reach out to these children, by sharing Christ's love with them at Christmas and by developing year-round relationships. In the end, it's so much more than giving Christmas gifts-it's about restoring families."

We'd love to have you learn more about this wonderful charity and even possibly how you might get involved.  So we have a special prize drawing planned! .  If you'd like to be entered to win our Angel Bundle Prize Pack (Joy to the World Full Sized Stamp Set, Angel Kisses Taylored Card Kit, and the Musical Swirls Taylored Impression Plate) simply click over to the Angel Tree website and find the answer to this question: "Name the founder of Angel Tree." (You'll want to read the touching story of how Angel Tree got started while you're there!)  E-mail Taylored Expressions with the answer in the subject line of your e-mail by Wednesday at 6pm PST.  The winner will be announced on Taylor's blog at approximately 10 pm PST Wednesday night.

Angel Kisses Card KitFor the projects today, we used all the Angel Kisses Taylored Card Kit that will be available for purchase along with all the stamp sets and impressions plates and dies this Thursday at 8am PST. This card kit is full of awesome card ingredients (cardstock, designer paper, ribbon, peals) to make a bunch of mass produceable Christmas cards! Also there will be a downloadable inspiration sheet that will include 10 easy to recreate samples by the Baker's Dozen! Gotta love inspiration sheets!

I had so much fun with these beautiful colors and designer paper - and love that everything is already coordinated ready for craftin'!

The Joy to the World stamp set has beautiful angels - and sweet sentiments. I created 4 circle cards with these sweet Angels and used the sentiment: "May peace be your gift at Christmas" for all four cards. Here is a picture of all 4 from this card kit and using the Joy to the World stamp set:

Here is a picture one of the Angels - she is so sweet with her hands folded. Each card was cut out with beaded circles nesties and then I added the Angels finishing it with some copics, liquid pearls and some green and maroon pearls from the Angels Kisses Taylored Card Kit:
And here is a picture of the second Angel that I used and I added a little bag of overflowing hearts by stamping the bag, coloring it and adding a dimensional:
I love that everything is from the card kit (well, except for the liquid pearls and glitter) and it made everything so simple, fast and easy to assemble! I can't wait to see all the gorgeous creations that everyone has created using this wonderful stamp set Joy to the World with the Angel Kisses Taylored Card Kit:

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #13: Sending you Sunshine!

     Hi Everyone,

Sorry to be MIA - summer has been really a bit crazy with travel and being with family and friends and I haven't been to my craft room in awhile - but I was excited to go down there to create a card for the July Blast From the Past blog hop today - where the theme is Sending you Sunshine! This is such a fun way for all Taylored Expressions fans to hop along each month with previously released stamp sets!

You know me, I love sunshine (well, except when the heat index is 118 degrees... then I long for a cool fall day!) and I couldn't wait to play along! I used the sketch that I created for today's blog hop - and I have to apologize for those of you who might have used it - because it was a bit wild (sorry about that! ;) I had a hard time using my own sketch (lol!) but then as soon as I used the Splash 6x6 paper pack with the Hangin' Out at the Beach stamp set from Taylored Expressions - it all kinda of fell into place:

     Card Ingredients:
StampsHangin' Out at the Beach  at the Beach by Taylored Expressions
Cardstock: Bazzil and Taylored Expressions Choice Snowwhite cardstock
    DP: Echo Park Splash 6x6
Accessories: American craft ribbon, button from BG, vellum from Bazzil, liquid pearls from Ranger (white), corner chomper, spellbinders and bling from Kaiser

I love the little bikini in this card - gosh - those bikini days are like distant memories right now :) - but it was fun to stamp one! For the circle element in the card - I made it by punching a piece of vellum out and then putting some dimensionals onto the bikini to pop it out a bit. I finished it by tying some ribbon and adding a coordinating button in the middle and also threw in some liquid pearls :)

I can't wait to see what all the fun girls have created with this awesome summer themed blog hop! Please check them out and hop on over to Taylor's Blog for more details as to how you can be part of the next hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
    Big hugs,
    Sankari :)

    Hi Everyone!

This week begins the start of sneak peeks over at Taylored Expressions and each day there will be some super fun cute peeks from the July Taylored Expression stamps that will be released this Friday at 8am PST! Today's peeks are so super cute - I simply adore both of these fun and awesome stamps - and the perfectly coordinated dies!

The first stamp set that we are peeking is called: In the Clouds - which is a full size stamped set (25 images/sentiments) that is illustrated by the awesome Nancy McKinney. I simply adore how fun these cute cute blimps are and how awesome the sentiments are! These sentiments also coordinate with the It's a Banner Day 1 and It's a Banner Day 3 stamp set - so there are so many possibilities with the sentiments. I absolutely love the Clouds Border Die - it is so perfect to create a fluffy cloudy border or use as a sponging template. I used mine for a border and sponged the edges and added a wee bit of stickles to them for a bit of cloud dazzle :)

I also loved using the Blimps and Banners Taylored Dies (set of 4 dies) which coordinates perfectly with the stamps and sentiments in this super cute stamp set! After stamping and coloring my blimps (blimps come in both stamps that can be colored in and can be inked solid) and then adhered them onto the blimps. I also did the mirror technique to create the bottom part of the blimp for one of the blimps. Here is another view of the card looking down onto it:

    Card Ingredients:
Stamps: In the Clouds from Taylored Expressions
Paper: MME 6x6 Lime Twist: Fly a Kite
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves, Bahama Blue and Ladybug Red
Accessories: twine, dimensionals, Spellbinders labels 20 and pennant dies, bling from stash

The second super cute stamp set that we are sneak peeking today is the full sized stamp set  Life is a Circus stamp set (17 images) which was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink Line. Can I just say a HUGE OMGoodness "how cute!" - I adore the super cute images in this stamp set and I absolutely ADORE all the cute animals and sentiments and images! The sentiments are so awesome for both adults and children - soooo super cute! I had so much making this card - I just adore adore the elephants and cute lion and so I thought it would be fun to pile them up and create a little tent-ish card :) Just seeing the elephant balancing his buddies on one little ball SO makes me smile :) and I adore the Seeing Stars Taylored Dies (set of 3) that coordinates perfectly with this set and is perfect for so many other stamp sets! I used it to create the little ball for the cute Ellie and the top of the tent - the flaps of which I created with the EK success scallop border die and lined with some liquid pearls.

Here is a closer peek at this stamp set - I adored coloring these cute images with my copics and some how started grinning from ear to ear by the time I was done - I just adore these guys!

    Card Ingredients:
Paper: MME Lime Twist 6x6 - Sweet and Bazzil Cardstock
Stamps: In the Circus from Taylored Expressions
    Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: liquid pearls, Seeing Stars Taylored Dies, EK success scallop border punch, Diamond stickles, dimensionals and corner punch.

I had so much fun creating these cards  and can't wait to see all the fun creations that these awesome ladies have come up with these super cute stamp sets - Please hop along with me get ready for some major cuteness!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today -
