Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Petite-a-Palooza Day 1

Hi Everyone!

Happy December! Can you believe it - the end of the year is just around the corner! With a new month, comes a new release from Taylored Expressions - all of the stamps being released today are petite stamp sets! This is the 3rd Annual Petite-a- Palooza celebration and this year there will be 14 new petite stamp sets that will be released and they come with coordinating dies!

For my first stamp set , I used the new to be released stamp set called Light A Feather ad it comes with coordinating dies!!! I love this stamp set - there are so many different lovely sentiments and three  gorgeous feathers! I stamped mine in different ink colors and then die cut them out and ted them all with some twine -  a little bouquet !

Here is a little close up of the card - I created a banner using the Party Banner Border Die and then arranged them overlapping and then tied it together with some twine. I LOVE the sentiments in this stamp set - so positive and lovely for the heart!

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Light as A Feather by Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Bahama Blue, Teal Zeal, Canteloupe, Ladybug Red
Papers; Snow White Choice card stock and Simple Stories DP
Accessories: May Arts Twine, EK Success scallop border punch, corner chomper, Party Banner Border die, Bling and gray ribbon

For my second project, I made a little card set using another new petite that will be released on Thursday called: Oh Happy Day! And first of all can I just say that I love the title of this stamp set - just love it - and suddenly, I have this song stuck in my head :) I tried to keep the card set simple so that it can be duplicated easily.
I created a little scene using the Build A Scene: Rolling Hills dies and Cloud Border Edger die.

After die cutting the hills twice, I used different combinations of the hills to create these four cards and used a paper crimper on one of the hills with some sponging for a little dimension. This petite stamp set has four fun flowers - and each card has one of the flowers (with a little bit of the glaze on it) and some of the different sentiments - here are two of the four cards:
I die cut the Banner Stacklets 1 dies to create a flag in the background and then die cut the scene sizes using the Pockets and Pages: 3x4 Essentials die and then added a little bit of linen ribbon to the top corner and And here are the other two cards in the set:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Oh Happy Day! from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red
Papers: Choice Buttercream card stock and Bazzill Blue, Green and Burgandy cardstcok
Accessories: Pockets and Pages Essentials (3x4), Build A Scenes: Rolling Hills, Cloud Border Edge die, paper crimper, Banner Stacklets 1, White gel pen (Inkessentials), copics, gloss, linen ribbon, foam dimensionals, sticky tape, corner chomper and cuttlebug impressions folder

I loved making these cards! This release might have a lot of petite stamp sets - but it is DEFINITELY not a petite release - it is HUGE - and I can't wait to see all the awesome creations designed by the Baker's Dozen today and this week - please hop with me and check them out here:

Enjoy Your New Home

Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was very simple affair filled with a ton of food and subsequent food comas! I am so grateful for all the little things and all of the big things - there is so much to give thanks for - even when the skies are gray.

We just got back from a Thanksgiving weekend yesterday and I was able to create a little card for a housewarming using the Treasure Life stamp set, with the coordinating Apothecary Jars stamp set and the Apothecary Shelf. I have loved these three items for so long and was so happy to get them out to create a little indoor scene also using the Picture Window die and coordinating it with the From My Window. I used some blue DP for the wallpaper and then used some wood DP for the flooring and some vellum over the picture window to try to copy the feel of the glass - I love how it turned out:

After I finished the card, I added some gloss over the Apothecary Shelf and the jars on the shelf for a bit of texture and sheen :)

Here is a shelf by the window - I colored the scene of the tree with the swing which is From My Window stamp set and then placed the die cut window from the Picture Window die set from TE.  I finished it off with a little banner using the Party Banner border die hung in the corner with a bit of bling in the center and some twine on one side:
Card Ingredients:
StampsTreasure Life stamp set, Apothecary Shelf and the From My Window stamp set.
Inks: Memento Ladybug Red, Tuxedo Black and copics
Papers: Choice Snow White card stock from TE and vellum
Accessories: foam tape, bling, May Arts Twine,  yellow stickles, Gloss, Apothecary Jars dies, Picture Window die and Party Banner die

I loved making this card so so so much - it was so nice to have some crafty time to myself and it was so nice to watch a movie while I made this card - such a lovely luxury to relax and craft after a busy week :)

Hope your weekend is going well and that you have a beautiful start to your December!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

November Stamp of the Month - Hanging Out is Fun!

Hi Everyone,
Last week, we introduces the new Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions! The stamp of month this month is called: "In the Garden" and it also coordinates perfectly with the November's Key Ingredients kit and comes with a coordinating die. I love the stamped image of the little paper lanterns in the stamp set - it reminds me of going to a outside picnic party where there is so much yummy food and as the sun starts to set the paper lanterns come to life and shine softly! I created this card with that image in mind by making some soft rolling hills with the Build a Scene - Rolling Hills die with the Grass Green Felt:

Here is a close up of the scene - the clouds were from the Cloud Border die and then I cut out the lanterns and hung them up with some dimensionals and a added a little bit of sparkle with some stickles:

Card Ingredients:

Stamps: In the Garden from Taylored Expressions (November 2013 Stamp of the Month)
Inks: Memento Danube Blue, Teal Zeal, Tuxedo Black and copics
Paper: November 2013 Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions (featuring Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky)
Accessories: Build a Scene (Rolling Hills), Cloud Border Die, twine, stickles, foam dimensionals, corner rounder, white inkessentials gel pen

Making this card was so much fun - I love garden parties and after making this card, I totally want to have one - except that it is really really freezing outside! That's okay - just thinking about a garden party in my mind makes me so happy :)

Stay warm wherever you are - hope you have a wonderful day!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Ciao for now,
Sankari :)

November Stamp of the Month: In the Garden!

Hi Everyone,

Its time for a new Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions! The stamp of month this month is called: "In the Garden" and it also coordinates perfectly with the November's Key Ingredients kit and comes with a coordinating die :
This set is perfect paired with the November Key Ingredients Kit: -  and you can get both by checking out the Taylored Expressions Deluxe Subscription Kit here for more details.
This stamp set is so Festive & Fun! I love the lanterns - and I love the flowers and the dies that come with them. I decided to make two cards for my project today. I wanted to create a simple design (kind of CAS-ish) and then take it one more step with some more additions in the second card - so kind of a simple one and then a little bit more is more on the second one :) Here is the set that I created with the KI kit and the stamp of the month for Nov:

I love how they turned out - and I always need birthday cards on hand - so it was fun to create some bday cards that I could make on a larger scale with the same layout. I die cut the flower into the cardstock and then popped the red flower out of the "die cut window" so that you could see the DP in the background: here is the simple one all by itself:
And here is the "more is more" card - I added a darker mat around the square DP and embossed a blue cardstock with some swiss dots and also added a smaller flower in the middle of the larger flower:

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: In The Garden from Taylored Expressions(November 2013 Stamp of the Month)
Ink: Memento Inks: Ladybug Red, and Tuxedo Black
Paper: November 2013 Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions (featuring Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky)
Accessories: foam dimensionals, twine, white gel pen, corner rounder, Swiss dots embossing folder, copics, bling

This set is SO much fun and these papers in the KI kit are simple awesome - makes it so much fun to create when everything coordinates for you! Check out this amazing crew of designers that created projects with the kit and the stamp set:
