Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks - Day 1

Good Morning Everyone!

Guess what?! Sneak Peeks for the April release have started over at Taylored Expressions and I am so excited to peek two stamp sets that will be released this Thursday (April 8th) at 8am PST at the Taylored Expressions store! Today the Baker's Dozen are showing sneak peeks of two darling and awesome stamp sets called: CreativiTEA and Miniture Motifs. These stamp sets have SO many possibilities and are so versatile - I {heart} them!!!!

Project #1 - Have a Happy SereniTea Birthday

The first project that I created uses the awesome Tea Tins that will be available at the Taylored Expressions store on release day and it coordinates beautifully with this stamp set (all the stamps are sized so that they can be easily used to decorate it!) I created a little birthday giftset using the Tea Tin:
I love how much fun it was to decorate this little Tea Tin (giving Tea has never been so much fun!) Here is another picture of it - isn't the sentiment: "SereniTEA" soooo cute?!??! (there are more of these sentiments in this set!) I put EarlGrey Teabags in this tin (it holds 17 teabags comfortably - that is one tea tin that is filled with loads of serenitea! LOL!)

I LOVE that a Stamp in this set coordinates perfectly with the Labels 9 Nesties from Spellbinders - it makes cutting easier :) Here is a picture of the card that I made and it uses this super easy to use template for teacups created by Mel of Mel Stampz. I decorated this with some liquid pearls of course and popped up the flower that is in this stamp set onto the tea cup after coloring and cutting it out:
Project Details:
Stamps: CreativiTEA from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Basic Grey
Inks: Tuxedo Black from Memento
Accessories: teacup template by Mel, liquid pearls, threading punch, dimensionals, grosgrain ribbon, Labels 9 (spellbinders) and tea!

Project #2 - A Lego/Giraffe TeaParty :)
Every Sunday afternoon we have a tea party (of course these tea parties spontaneously happen at other times too) but its become our sunday afternoon tradition to have some tea (I make Peppermint tea with milk and sugar for the kids and strong homemade chai for us) and we have a little tea party. Growing up in India, chai and tea time is SUCH a part of life - things slow down in the afternoon and we relax with some chai and hot pakoras or other such snackies :) I love having these traditions with my wee ones - they also invite other "friends" to the tea party like Lego Men and Giraffes (I don't have the heart to tell my son, that his Lego men are actually holding beer mugs! he was so excited that they could have tea too!! lol!) So I printed out some pictures from our sunday tea to create this little scrapbook page (with all of our tea time guests - and yes, did you know there was pink Lego?)

Here are some closer pictures of our tea party:

I love that my daughter is giving her giraffe (who she sleeps with and whose name is Sweetie) some Chai - And our LegoMen are enjoying chai in her play teacup:

I love created 6x6 layouts because they perfectly fit into the Frame Your Imagination stand that Taylor has in the store. I love that your scrapped creations don't have to hide but can be displayed out - the kids loved this little page! It was so much fun to make it for them :)

Project Details:
Stamps: CreativiTEA from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Tuxedo Black from Memento and Bahama Blue
Accessories: Layout from Jen Tapler for Scrappy Sunday on PaperCraft Planet, dimensionals, circle punches from CM and SU! and archival pen and Frame Your Imagination Stand.

Project #3- Oh Darjeeling:
Tea and Chai evoke memories of having chai with my mother when it was raining and talking and watching the rain out the window. I am so excited that my mom is coming to visit this week and made this card for her and here is a preview of our tea party to come (pakoras to be made later :)

I created the background using the stamp set: Miniture Motifs - there are four background stamps that make it so easy to create your own background so easily! I love this one with all of the little dots (You know Me and DOTS!!! :) It matches the steam dots in the CreativiTEA set so beautifully and I love LOVE love the sentiment: Oh Darjeeling!!!!I can't wait to give this to my Darling Darjeeling Mother!!!

Project Details:
Stamps: CreativiTEA and Miniture Motifs from Taylored Expressions
Papers: Prism Paper (Classic Magenta) and Choice Buttercream paper from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Tuxedo Black from Memento and Bahama Blue
Accessories: white gel pen, dimensionals, ribbon from stash, bling, scallop and circle punch SU!

All of this makes me want a cup of chai! I can't wait to see what all CreativiTEA projects the Baker's Dozen Design Team has created today!!!!! I am excited to hop on over and check out these beautiful sneak peeks:

Nancy McKinney ** our wonderful Illustrator
and of course Taylor VanBruggen

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!!
Please stop by tomorrow for Day 2 of Sneak Peeks!!!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)
