Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions - Day 1

Good Morning Everyone!!

I am so excited!! There are a lot of things in this post - so I hope you grab a cup of coffee or fave beverage for some exciting new yumminess :) Guess what this week is? Its release week over at Taylored Expressions (all stamp sets will be available for purchase at the Taylored Expressions Store on Friday at 8am PST) and its also the start of a new quarter, which means that this release, Taylor will be releasing a new stamp for the Taylored Expressions Charitable Giving Tree, which donates partial proceeds from the sales of a special stamp set to a different charity each quarter!

I am so excited about the stamp set that will be the Charitable TE stamp set - it is awesome - its called "You're My Hero" and it is SUCH a great stamp set filled with different guitars, awesome sentiments in rockin' fonts, beautiful graphics that is perfect to have for all adults, teens, tweens and in betweens :) Its perfect for scrapping your family doing guitar hero, for a quick cheer up card for a teen with the sentiment ("you rock"), to creating boy cards that are "cool" to just a fun rocking card :)

The inspiration of this stamp set was Darrin Zimmerman. He was a brave 10 year old little boy, who was Taylor's neighbor. Darrin and his family had been battling cancer and sadly, last fall, Darrin passed away. He loved music and this stamp set was inspired by him and $7 of the sale from each of the stamp sets sold goes to CureSearch which "unites the world's largest childhood cancer research organization, the Children's oncology Group, and the National Cancer Foundation through their mission to cure childhood cancer." Because this set is part of the charitable program, it will need to be trimmed but is of the same deeply etched rubber of all other TE stamps. I feel so am so happy to be part of this Charitable giving program and love that this stamp set supports this amazing organization and all of the children who are battling something that takes away that precious childhood. Please read all about Darrin and the inspiration behind this stamp set on Taylor's post today.

I simply LOVED creating cards from this set and the Rock Star Key ingredients that Taylor has assembled for this set is truly rocking! This package of Key Ingredients comes with a ton of cardstock, awesome DP called Teen Angst, 5 yeards of coordinated ribbons, a metal sheet, coordinated sugary brads and awesome tages (that's a whole lot of yumminess) especially for those "way cool" teens/tweens in your life!

Project #1 - You Rock (inspired by the iPod dancers :)
I always loved those iPod commercials where all the people are white or black silhouettes and are dancing to bright colored paper. So I was excited to create a card using that idea and cut out some images from the Rock Star Key Ingredients papers and decorated the bottom of the card with it:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Rock Star Key Ingredients
Stamps
: You're my Hero stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Ink
: Memento Tuxedo Black and Stazon White
Accessories
: glaze pens from Sakura,
wave cutter from CM, corner rounder, clear and white EP, star punch from CM

Project #2 - You Rock
I LOVE all of the guitars in this set and used the lovely colors that the ladies picked out from the Color Throwdown this week. I cut and colored out the guitars and popped them out in dimensionals. The edge was corner chomped and then I dotted a half circle around the bottom and then alternated stitching with some embroidery thread and finished it off with a little bit of glaze on the guitars for that shiny rockstar look :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper
: Rock Star Key Ingredients
Stamps: You're my Hearo stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Ink
: Memento Ladybug red and Tuxedo black
Accessories: corner rounder
, copics, glaze, embroidery thread, sakura glaze pen, dimensionals

Project #3 - Rock Star
I love all the different items in the Key Ingredients set - and had fun playing around with the tags and this super cool mesh thread! (the rhinestones are not from the KI) I LOVED giving some shimmer and shine with some gold EP and adding a glaze to the silhouette :)

Project #4 - You're My RockStar!
I masked off the sentiment "You're my hero" to create this sentiment: "You're My RockStar" :) This is a card for my little baby boy - who loves to play Air Guitar :) I drew out this guitar and then cut it out with one of the Key iNgredients papers and created the strings with some dental floss (yes, you read that right :))) lol! I loved making this card - it was so much fun and I ADORE these papers!
Please check out these amazing creations from the Rock STAR Design Team and a huge welcome to Carolina and Jeanie who join us at the Baker's Dozen Design Team, they are simply amazing! Check out these rockin' sneak peeks!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!! Please stop by tomorrow as we show you MORE yumminess coming up tomorrow!!! :)))

Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Hey girl! These are amazing. I rarely have time to comment on your bloggy, but rest assured you are in my Google Reader and I see and love each and every post!

You should really consider submitting that first card (with the embossing) to CARDS, this current call is for heat embossing and this card ROCKS!

OK...you totally crack me up! I just grin from ear to ear as I read your blog because I can totally picture you making these projects! I think the dental floss card wins my fav vote this time, but the rest of them are amazing too! I love how you alternated black and white embossing on the top card! And the gold shimmery pow background accented with rhinestones is super cool!
