Mojo Monday 156 - Love is a Friendship caught on Fire

Good Morning Everyone,

A couple of mornings ago, I got to do something special - I got to have a little breakfast date with my DH :) I think I can count on one hand all of the times that we have done something - just the two of us - since the kids were born. But totally spontaneously, my DH asked me out the night before because he had a cancellation at work and he wanted to know if he could take me out to breakfast :) Awww :) With both of our wee ones in school, it was so awesome to go out in the morning after we dropped them off and spend a little bit of time together catching up :)

I wanted to make a little card for him to tell him how much our marriage, his friendship, love and support mean to me - so I created a little card that I could give him at the coffeehouse :) I used the gorgeous Mojo Monday sketch #156 and used the beautiful stamp set from Verve called Love Story for my card. I think this is one of the best stamp sets for weddings, anniversaries and just your everyday "I love you" card :) I went with the black and white theme and added some red as a pop of color.
This sentiment: "Love - a friendship caught on Fire" is one of my most favorite sentiments. I feel so lucky that my DH is my bestest friend - ever since the beginning we have had an awesome friendship, and being married to my best friend is such blessing :) I paper pieced the elegant hearts with some scraps of DP and then added a little bit of bling, stickles, liquid pearls and ruffled up my ribbon. Here is a close up of part of the card:

And here is a picture of us at the coffeehouse where I surprised my DH with his little love card :) He loved it and it was so cute that he wanted me to tell him how I made it :) LOL - so sweet!

I think we decided that we might just have to make this a tradition! Maybe next time, he could make a card for me :))))) lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Sankari, this is GORGEOUS! I Love every little detail... but I'll admit - you're the only person in the world that would refer to this as "a little card" - lol - it would take the rest of us a month to recreate it!

Beautiful story Sankari, now that my 35th anniversary is approaching and things here have gotten so routine I think I am going to take your advice and make a card for my sweet and loving husband, whom I might add I do not deserve!
