Anni~Verve~sary Spotlight Hop Day 3: Words of Wisdom

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Day 3 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop series! Hop along with the Divas all week long as we share our first looks at a few of the new products releasing from Verve on Friday night! One lucky commenter along the hop will win today's featured sets and dies.  So be sure and leave a little love as you hop around the Divasphere! Check the Verve Blog for prize details and deadlines.

This week is release week over at Verve and the awesome new sneak peeks of this release have already started - check them all out over at the Verve stamps blog and stay tuned for more peeks of all the new stamps and new Verve dies that are truly amazing and will be released this Friday (August 12th!!) Julee has completely outdone herself with this Anniversary - Anni-Verve-sary celebration - there are a TON of new stamps and coordinating dies and today the Divas are peeking the awesome stamp set Words of Wisdom along with the 2 new must have Plain Janes: Notebook and Graph Paper - which both perfectly coordinate with the new Rounded Rectangle Die! LOVE that!

For my card today, I picked one of my favorite sentiments from the Words of Wisdom set (seriously, they are all beautiful and inspiring!) which reads: "Keep fighting"... and was especially made for my husband's cousin's husband who is battling ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) - and has the most positive attitude I know... he is the most amazing father and even though things are getting harder for him with basic movement functions (like throwing a baseball to his sons) he always has a smile and sees the positive side of life. I so admire Jim, he makes me feel inspired and humble at the same time - I admire him and the way he cares for his family with all of his heart and that he wakes up each day with the courage to radiate that positivity to his family, even when he is going through a hard time as he battles this disease. In his own words about this disease that he is fighting,  Jim says in his blog: "Although I did not choose this disease, I am choosing to fight back while I can...."

I wanted to make him a cheery card that will cheer him on and put this beautiful sentiment on the awesome Graph Paper PJ that was cut out with the Rounded Rectangle Die coming out of the clouds as the sun shines bright around it! That graph paper is so awesome - I adore the little steno note pad look! And its so nice to be able to easily die cut it out!

Card Details:
Stamps: Words of Wisdom and Graph Paper PJ from Verve Stamps
Papers: Echo Park Sunny Days and PTI white cardstock
Inks: London Fog and Grape Jelly from Memento
Accessories: Rounded Rectangle Die from Verve Stamptwine, Baker's Twine, bling from Kaiser (yellow), PTI button, flower from stash, EK success scallop border, clouds and sun are stickers from Echo Park paper Kit (Sunny Days), Circle Spellbinders, liquid pearls.

It made me so happy to make this card for Jim - I hope he always remembers how amazing he is! You can read more of Jim's story here (he is a new blogger!). This sentiment is so perfect for inspiring yourself or a friend in need - truly amazing!
