August Blast from the Past from Taylored Expressions

Hi Everyone!

Today over at the Taylored Expressions, we are having the monthly Blast from the Past Customer Blog hop, where everyone can hop along with a previously released stamp set and can use the BFTP sketch if they would like. This month's theme was Collector's Anonymous - and wow! did that start my thinking cap going... I think, I might have a crafting addiction... (yes, I said it out loud! okay, I wrote it out loud!)
My craft area is in our bedroom and pretty much every square inch of it, except the bed has something of my craft "corner" in it - I was hoping my DH would get the hint and figure out that I needed my own room, but he seems really happy with just having a bed and being able to go to sleep at night! My resolution this month is to really go through all my stuff (esp. all the wood mounted stamps!) and have a major purge - will have to do a "before and after" picture! But in the meantime I love creating cards in my craftbedroom :) where I can eat, sleep and create! Which is why I HAD to use that exact same sentiment from the Knit Wit stamp set and pair it up with the images from the Collector's Anonymous stamp set from Taylored Expressions :).  I used the sketch for today's hop, but I kinda embellished it a little more  (more is more right?! :) I have been collecting buttons for so long and I love how they can add just the right punch to a card - so I pulled out one of my 5 collecting boxes of buttons and found these 3 BoBunny Buttons that went perfect with this card :) I think I might have to make 30000 cards covered with buttons to use up all the buttons I have :)

I love these fun images in these stamp sets and tried my hand at masking (Taylor is such a masking expert! I usually cut and pop up images and it was so much fun to stamp and color the bottles of buttons and stacks of ribbon and bunches of glue together - almost looks like my craft desk :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Choice Snow White Cardstock and Life of the Party papers from My Mind's Eye!
Stamps: sentiment from the Knit Wit stamp set and pair it up with the images from the Collector's Anonymous stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Ladybug Red, Tuxedo Black and Berrylicious Chalk Ink and copics
Accessories: Buttons from Bo Bunny, rhinestones, ribbon from Stash, Spellbinders, corner chomper, bow easy and glue dots (and dimensionals) :) and can you believe it - not liquid pearls!!

After stamping and coloring the images, I cut the it out using the From the Heart Die and then popped it up onto the Take Note 3 die from the Taylored Die collection and matted it onto the awesomely fun Life of the Party papers from My Mind's Eye!
I loved making this card and loved trying my hand at masking! I can't wait to see what awesomeness everyone has created with this theme! And I am so glad that I have this crafting addiction because I have had the chance to meet all of you through it!! :)

One random hopper on today's blog will receive a FREE Taylored Expressions stamp set of choice and another hopper's creation will be featured in the upcoming TE newsletter! Please stop by Taylor's blog to see how you can join the next Blast From the Past hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)
