July Blast from the Past Blog HOP from Taylored Expressions!!!

----------------- Good Morning Everyone!!! -----------------

It's time for another Blast From the Past Blog Hop that that Taylor is organizes every month!!! This hop is a Taylored Expressions Customer based blog hop which previews earlier stamp sets that have been released. Sometimes its hard to pull a card out of nowhere and so if anyone needed a point for starting their card - here is a sketch that can help. I often turn to sketches to figure out how to put things together and had fun putting my card elements together with this sketch.

The hardest part about these hops is figuring out which pervious set to use --- that part usually takes the longest time because they are all so awesome - check out all the Taylored Expressions stamp sets here- but I finally decided to rock out with the "You're my Hero" stamp set. I embossed the main rocker image with some black EP and then sponged it and to try to give it a hard rock feel - I took a deep breath - and then I crumpled the whole image and sponged it after smoothing it out. I am not a crumpler of paper by nature -but it was a fun technique to do. I did the same crumpling thing to the scalloped edging and the sentiment - it really does give it some nice texture :).
The star stamp that is in this set is also embossed in clear EP after stamping it in Tangelo ink and then sponging it black, I attached it to whole cardstock with an eyelet. I took some dew drops in silver to line the scalloped edge and attached a little ribbon tag with some satin taupe ribbon. I used the Terra Cotta liquid pearls from Adirondacks for a little accent :)

I love the "You're my Hero" stamp set - its so rockin and loved getting my heat gun out and doing a little EP fun :) These blast from the past blog hops are such a great way to see all the TE stamps out there and meet all the TE fans!!! Stay tuned on Taylor's blog for how you can be part of the August Blast from the Past hop!!!

Can't wait to hop and check out all the Taylored Expressions fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!
You ROCK!!!
hugs :)
Sankari :)
