Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks - Day 1 - Feeling Groovy!

HI Everyone!

It's sneak peek party and boogey time over at Taylored Expressions - where today is Day 1 of Sneak Peeks for some amazing stamps and Project Pantry Kits that Taylor will be releasing this Thursday, July 8th over at Taylored Expressions!

Today half of the Baker's Dozen are going to be previewing the awesome and far out stamp set called Feelin' Groovy that is designed by our very own Taylor VanBruggen (the other half of the Baker's Dozen will be previewing the Destination Cuppie stamp sets)!!!

I am totally "jazzed" to show you these fun and super cute stamp sets full of VW cars and perfect sayings and sentiments! Taylor has created a coordinating "That 70's Project Pantry kit" to coordinate with this stamp set and it makes creating cards absolutely a cinch! Along with the super cute DP, coordinating cardstock and ribbon, this Pantry Kit also includes: peace brads, glitter brads, mylar flowers, rhinestone flowers and butterflies!!! That is a ton o' stuff ready for your creative mojo! I created 4 cards with this fun stamps and papers and had to put the Tsukineko down otherwise I would have kept going and inked every stamp up in this !

Card# 1 - Scootin' by to Say Hi
Okay - can I just say that I a-d-o-r-e this image of the super cute scooter! As soon as I saw it - I immediately inked it up and colored it pink ... (that is my secret desire! a pink scooter - with a matching pink helment!) I created some rolling hills with the DP and then liquid pearled it with some different Adirondacks and added some inked some clouds and cut out a cloud with a heart on it from one of the DP. I waved up the sentiment with some dimensionals and added a little bit of glitter to the cloud with some crystal stickles:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: "That 70's Project Pantry kit"
Stamps: Feelin' Groovy from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bahama Blue and copics
Accessories: ribbon, brads, flower from the Feeling Groovy Project Pantry Kit, EK success big scallop punch, CM wave cutter, Adirondack Liquid Pearls , dimensionals, corner chomper, buttons from stash.

There is something so much yummy about creating a fun scene with these lovely papers and super duper cute scooter and sentiment! Love it! I wish I could hop right into that scene and scoot off!

Card# 2 - Happiness
I just love this VW punch buggy car (always wanted one! I used to just marvel at the fact that the trunk was in the front and the engine was in the back - so cool!) I thought it would be fun to create a little scene and cut out the windows of the cute punch buggy after coloring it and attached a little plastic sheet to the back for the glass.

Card Ingredients:
Paper: "That 70's Project Pantry kit"
Stamps: Feelin' Groovy from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ladybug Red, Tangelo and copics
Accessories: ribbon, brads, flower from the Feeling Groovy Project Pantry Kit, EK success small scalloped punch, MS grass punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Tree of Life Template,Adirondack Liquid Pearls , copics, acetate sheet.

The sun is sponged out from the super cool Tree of Life template and then cut out, liquid pearled and sponged. I inked the sentiment Happiness in two tones (orange and red) and then attached i to the heart with a glitter brad and mylar flower. I attached a peace brad in the ribbon as a finishing touch after popping up the car.

Card# 3 - Feeling Groovy
I wanted to try to attempt making a CAS card - these are the hardest cards for me to make - and I think I failed miserably at making this a CAS card -but I did end up liking how it looked. I love this long beaded stamp and it reminds me of the curtain of beaded strings that you cover the doorways with - so I stamped different colors of this stamp vertically.

Card Ingredients:
Paper:"That 70's Project Pantry kit"
Stamps: Feelin' Groovy from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ladybug Red, Tangelo and copics
Accessories: ribbon, brads, flower from the Feeling Groovy Project Pantry Kit, EK success small scalloped punch, MS grass punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Tree of Life Template,Adirondack Liquid Pearls , copics, acetate sheet.

I then created little baubles to hang from the beaded strings: the heart, flowers and peace sign stamps are inked with different colors punched out with a circle cutter and then matted to the different color cardstocks in "That 70's Project Pantry kit" . On the top of the chain, which I had to bing up - I added the glitter brads in the project pantry kit to the scallops to make it look like it was hanging from the scallops. I finished it up with some liquid pearls :)

Card# 4- Enjoy the Ride
I think this is my favorite card - I wanted to create a card with a little bit of perspecitive on it - so I tired to create a little road by having the flower DP be the grass and I wanted to have this cute little buggy seem like it was driving off into the sunset:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: "That 70's Project Pantry kit"
Stamps: Feelin' Groovy from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and copics
Accessories: ribbon, brads, flower from the Feeling Groovy Project Pantry Kit, Spellbinders (Circle and scalloped), Cuttlebug embossing folder, Adirondack Liquid Pearls , copics, liquid glaze and dimensionals.

This card is a square measuring 5 x5" and to the top half of the card I cut it out with the scalloped spellbinders and alternated the sun with two different shades of orange (the darker shade of orange and the black for the road were in my paper stash, the rest are from the "That 70's Project Pantry kit" ) and stamped the sentiment: "enjoy the ride" in the middle of the sun. The bottom half of the card was done by adhering a black sheet to the bottom half and then creating a road from two isosceles triangles (who knew geometry would help me make a card?!). I lined the road with some liquid pearls and then cut up a strip of white paper to create the dashed lines of the road. The car was copified and then the glass portions were glazed and popped up onto the road :)

Here is a picture of all the cards created from this stamp set and
using the "That 70's Project Pantry kit" :
