Hi Everyone,

Today is day 3 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions - and today the design team will be previewing 5 stamp sets both Petite and A La Carte. The sets that you will be seeing today are the:

- Autumn and Spooky Wreath (these popular seasonal wreath series was concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for Whimsical Wishes and they work perfectly with the Seasonal Wreath and Bow Taylored Dies.
- Moka Tabitha - there is another cute little Moka in town for the Moka line by Nancy McKinney - welcome to Moka Tabitha (I will be showing her tomorrow :)
 - There are also two new A La Carte's that we are featuring, both designed by Nancy McKinney: The Spooky A La Carte and the Fall A La Carte which are the perfect size for cards, scrapbooking and homedecor!

My project today features the Fall A La Carte which is just the cutest little thing - I love the Font of the word Fall and the cute little squirrels around the letters - too cute! Fall is my FAVORITE season - ever! I love the feeling of a chill in the air, the colors turning beautiful colors, hot apple cider, getting into comfortable hoodies and sweats and heading down to the Farmer's Market with a hot cocoa in hand, something about this season always makes me happy!

So for my card today, I wanted to create a leaf card - so taking a regular A2 size card (horizontal) I drew out a big leaf that I cut out of brown cardstock and then sponged on the sides - this was then adhered to the A2 cardstock that I used some scrap paper on and then cut out the right side of the cardstock falling the leaf pattern. The image was stamped in Black Memento Ink onto Choice Snow White cardstock and then copicfied. I cut it out using the Frame it Up die from Taylored Expressions. I tied some American Crafts ribbon around the leaf and added a little outline of liquid pearls.

Card ingredients:
Paper: Papaya Puree Orange cardstock, scrap DP and Choice Snow White
Stamps: Fall A La Carte
Inks: Copics and Memento Black
Accessories: American Crafts ribbon, liquid pearls, dimensionals and Frame it Up die from Taylored Expressions.

I really love this cute little A La Carte - so perfectly cute and cozy and Autumnal in every way! I can't wait to see what the Design Team has created using one of the stamp sets listed above! Please hop on over and check them all out with me!
Thanks so much for stopping by today
And please stop by tomorrow for some release day celebration!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Hi Everyone,

Are you ready to get your "boo" on?! Well, today for Day 2 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions - get ready to see lots of treats from all of the Halloween stamps, dies and Project Pantry kits! On Thursday, Taylor will be releasing 2 full sized awesome stamp sets: Toil and Trouble and Fangtastic (both so cute!) and also will be releasing the Spooky Impression Plate and Spooky Fence Border die and the Spooky Project Pantry Kit

Taylor is doing something a little different this month with the Project Pantry.  As you know, the idea behind the Project Pantry is that when you want to bake up a yummy dessert you head to your pantry for the ingredients.  When you want to create a sweet papercrafting project, you can head to our Project Pantry for all the coordinating elements.  We've found that some of the best cake and cookie recipes are the ones based around a basic batter or dough recipe with lots of options to spice it up according to your tastes.  This month we are offering our Basic Recipe Kit along with optional Spice It Up Ingredients that you can pick and choose from to build the kit just the way you want it.

The Spooky Project Pantry Basic Recipe Kit is $11.95 and includes:
Echo Park Apothecary Emporium 6x6 pad
10 sheets of 8.5" x 11" cardstock in coordinating colors
6 yards of ribbon (2 yards each of 3 different styles)

Optional Spice it Up Ingredients (choose any or all) are:
Black Sparkly Fluff
Black/White Enamel Accents
Orange Rhinestones
Black Pearls
Halloween Button Assortment
Spooky Cardstock Pack
Spooky Ribbon Bundle

When you go to the Spooky Project Pantry in the store you will see the optional items linked under the Basic Recipe kit, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to add to your cart.  We know you'll have fun customizing your kit!

Today I was going to make one card with the full sized Fangtastic stamp set (Designed by Doub Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line) - but I seriously could NOT but this stamp set down - I just kept going - this stamp set is full of 21 images that are boo-licious (yes, I just wrote the word "boo-licious" lol!) and I paired them with the Spooky Fence Border Taylored die which is 6" long and perfect to create that spooky haunted feeling. All of the projects were made using the Spooky Project Pantry kit - and I still have a ton of ingredients left over!

I love the trees in this stamp set - they are so "dark night" scary looking and I wanted to create a spooky feel and so I sponged some clouds using a couple of different inks and used the Clouds Border die as a template. And then stamped the trees in a row using some Dark Brown Fluid Chalk ink. I tore black cardstock black to create the hills on and then used the Spooky Fence Border to die cut a spooky fence from one of the DP. I finished it off by stamping some bats in the sky and using the sentiment: "Have a Fangtastic Halloween" (isn't that a fun Halloween sentiment!)

The second card that I made was using the super cute house in this stamp set - I love the fun feel of this house and used the DP papers for the background and also for paper piecing the roof (I crimped the DP to create a rolling roof). Can't wait to make more with this super cute house!

For my last project with this stamp set, I wanted to make a banner for our front door to get into the Halloween Trick or Treatin' spirit. When we were at CHA this summer, I was having a conversation with my girl Eva about how cute these Shopping Bag and Labels die set are - and how cute it would be to create a banner from them! So I thought I would try to

I alternated cutting the bag with orange and black paper and then cut a little hole on either side to create a way to weave the ribbon through and had so much fun embellishing the bags with all the fun sentiments and images from the Fangtastic stamp set. I tied the banner onto two magnets that I embellished and finished off with putting a little witch and vampire trick or treater on the magnets and then stuck it to the door:

Here are some angles of the door banner -  can I just say HOW much I love this stamp set and all the dies that made this project so fun and easy!

Here is a close up of the bags - I love love LOVE all these sentiments, fonts and pumpkins:

Please check out all the amazing projects with these spookilicious projects!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today
And please stop by tomorrow for some more birthday release peeks!!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Hi Everyone!

I am sooooo excited for the birthday bash going on at Taylored Expressions this week - Taylored Expressions is turning 3 years old and I am so excited to be a part of the celebration!!! I still remember 3 years ago when Taylor announced that she was going to create TE stamps and I remember how excited I was for each release and to be part of the TE Design Team! The first sneak peek today is from the Sweet Party stamp set designed by Jessie Oleson (Petite stamp set - This is a stamp set that you can purchase for $7.95 on Thursday or one that you will get for free with a $100 purchase at the TE store!) which pays homage to the first stamp set: Sweet Celebration released 3 years ago! Isn't Cuppie so cute as he blows out his birthday cake with all his sweet friends!!! I couldn't wait to make a party happen and so stamped Cuppie and colored in all his friends and paper pieced the birthday cake with the Life of the Party papers from MME. I can't help but smiling everytime I look at sweet little Cuppie surrounded by his buddies!!

Card Ingredients:
Paper: My Mind's Eye Life of the Party 6x6 pad with Choice White cardstock from Taylored Expressions
Stamps: Sweet Party from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics, liquid pearls, stickles, Nesties, EK success scalloped punch, Pennant Border from Taylored Expressions

For the second card - I am SOOO excited to show you this card using the newly to be released Build a Treat stamp set which is seriously SOOO much fun - you can create your treat - build your own cupcake - with whichever bottom and tops that you would like AND it also coordinatees with the Build a Treat Borders stamp set and coordinating dies: the Build a Treat Borders die and the Build a Treat Tops and Bottoms dies!!! All of these were illustrated by the awesome Nancy McKinney! There is so much cupcake/sweet treat goodness here that you will definitely be sugar buzzin' as you craft!!! :) I made this card using the Build a Treat stamp set and cut out the border of cupcakes with felt bottoms and then a matching top from the DP papers! Here are all the dies and Impression plates that I used (Lots of Dots Impressions Plate, the Pennant Border and the soon to be released Build a Treat Borders!) and check out these AWESOME Build a Treat border dies!!!

I love that you can build your own treat! I started by picking out the bottom that I wanted and then colored it in and then stamped the top with two different inks and then adhered them to the (Lots of Dots Impressions Plate background paper. I added a little gloss to the frosting and then created the border of cupcakes on the bottom - I LOVE the felt cupcake bottoms - seriously - it was soooo easy to create a cupcake border - something that I have been wanting for so long - and now I can't wait to use it all the time! I had sooo much fun making this card:

Go For Your Dreams box :)

Hi Everyone,

I love garage sales - especially when I see something that I can repurpose in some way :) I saw these two wooden boxes (cedar) that were for sale and I immediately wanted to refurbish them in some way. I was a little hesitant to paint the wood - because it is so beautiful - but I thought I would try it on one and see how it turned out. This box is a present that I gave to my niece who turned 16 and I wanted to make a special box that she can put her keepsakes in and also that inspires her everytime she looks at it.

I love all the new Verve stamps that were just released and I love every single stamp set and sentiment - they all inspire and are so fabulous! I couldn't wait to use them in creating this "Go For Your Dreams" box :)
I started out by painting the box a bright red and after it dried, I gave it another coat. On the sides of the box, I adhered some strips of paper with some edger punching and then used the same paper to cut out some of the paisley designs which I adhered in a semi-circle to the top of the box. To the sides of the box I did some distressing with some Memento Rich Cocoa ink and then added some brown liquid pearls to the side.

I love every single sentiment in the Words of Wisdom stamp set and especially love this sentiment: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams." It is so inspiring and lovely! I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out with my circle nesties and then layered the diamond drop designs around the sentiment. I added some liquid pearls and red bling to the center of each one and then applied two coats of mod podge after to keep the rhinestones and liquid pearls in place.

I painted the inside of the box as well and added a sheet of red cardstock to the bottom of the top lid and the bottom lid. Since the top is recessed, I created a little collage using the Notebook Paper Plain Jane  and with the Words of Wisdom stamp set. I love these sentiments - and stamped them onto the notebook paper which I distressed and then popped them up with some dimensionals.

I added some punched butterflies around the sentiments and added a border of liquid pearls around the edge of the top lid. Here is another peek at the inside of the box - Aren't these sentiments just the awesomest? I love the one: "Speak the truth even if your voice shakes" - that one is so true - and so to the heart inspiring.

Inside the box, I wrapped up some presents for her (a little necklace, a set of colorful nailpolishes and some money :) The best part of making this box was seeing her opening it - she had big smile on her face and I love that she loved it :) Here is another picture showing the sidewise view of the box:

It was so much fun to make this box - I love making gifts for my friends and family and using these inspiring sentiments from the Words of Wisdom stamp set made everything so from the heart. I hope that she smiles every time she opens the box :) I can't wait to create something with the second box :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Sankari :)
