Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions, where today we are sneaking the awesome full sized stamp set Wild West (I'll be showing sneaks from it tomorrow :), three new Mokas (sized 3" x 5.5") : Moka Jesse, Moka Jane and Moka Angel and the new A-La-Carte stamp - perfect for going back to school: the School A La Carte  stamp.

My project today features the School A La Carte stamp set which is a single image illustrated by Nancy McKinney and is perfect for teacher gifts, scrapbooking and more with back to school being right around the corner (HOW did this summer just fly by so fast?) I love the globe, pencils and apple images that are incorporated into the word school - SO much fun! I colored the image with my copics and then cut it out using the frame it up 1 die and paired it with the October Afternoon Schoolhouse papers:

This year is a milestone of sorts with our children entering first grade and pre-kindergarten - I am both proud and ready to cry! They are both going to have new teachers (and teacher helpers) and so I thought I would make a little set of teacher's gifts for them.  I used the Clear Top HInged tins to create a little giftset for the teachers with magnets, magnetic eraser and some dry erase markers. I stamped the School A La Carte stamp three times and colored them and cut them out with the Frame it Up 1 die and then created a mat with different colors. I cut out the Frame it Up 1 die three times so that I could write a message on the inside of the tin for each of the teachers/teacher's aids. The magnets and erasers were covered with some scraps of papers from the October Afternoon Schoolhouse collection - they were so much fun to make! Here is a picture of the teacher's giftset that I made:

And here is a picture of all the tins opened, I love that the magnets and the magnetic eraser just were automatically stuck on inside the tin and I didn't have to use any adhesives :) Here is a picture of all the tins opened. The top part of the inside of the tin is where I was going to have the kids write a little message to their new teachers :

I love making little presents for their teachers and little gifts of thanks - teachers are amazing and their constant dedication is something I am so grateful for! We are enjoying the last few days/moments before our little guy is in first grade - which is going to be a big change for me because for the first time, he will be in school all day.... everyday - I think I might cry! So in the meantime, we are enjoying all the fun moments of summertime magic filled with walks in the park, ice cream cones to beat the heat and swimming in the lakes! School is going to come to soon for me, but I am excited for the next step in the kids journey and happy to take some presents of thanks to their wonderful new teachers!

Please check out the amazing creations from the Baker's Dozen Design team with sneak peeks from all of the new stamp sets that will be released tomorrow!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Please stop by tomorrow for release day fun!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)
