Harvest Blessings and more Verve Projects :)

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Hope your week has been going awesome! Our week has been so busy - it seems like every night I come home exhausted and my mojo is gone - and last night, I was in bed super early, but couldn't sleep (so I decided to come and play :) I just got this new yummy BG (Indian Summer) and couldn't wait to play :) There is just something about these colors that makes me want to crunch some leaves, wear a scarf and go for a walk in the woods, and have a cup of tea after coming home. I absolutely love love love fall - and these papers and this stamp that I used just make my heart so happy :) I used Julee's seriously mojo-licious sketch from this week (those scallops had me swooning I tell ya'!) and used one of my favorite sentiments from the new Verve release Harvest Blessings.

Card Details:
Paper: Basic Grey Indian Summer, cardstock from Bazzil basics
Ink: Memento Ink: Potter's clay and then over it with some Sakura gel pens
Accessories: Circle punch and archival pen from Creative Memories, bling from Martha and buttons from stash, corner rounder, leaf is from BG, dimensionals,

I love and can't get enough of these yummy verve-licious sets. Here are some creations that I posted at the Verve release party that I haven't had a chance to post here yet:

This is from the set: Star Struck. This could be one of my most fave sets - I just couldn't stop using it :) Here is one project - called: Star that's what you are:

Paper: Bo Bunny, carstock from stash run through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug
Ink: Memento Ink: Potter's clay and then over it with some Sakura pink glaze pen
Accessories: Wave cutter and circle cutter from Creative Memories, liquid pearls, accordian ribbon from Taylored Expressions, dimensionals,

Here is another project from the same stamp set called: Be the Star, You Know You are:

Ink: Memento Ink: Potter's clay and then over it with some Sakura gel pens
Accessories: Spellbinders, circle cutter from Creative Memories, black glaze pen from Sakura, Big eyelet and cropadile to set, ribbon from stash, bling from Martha corner rounder and dimensionals
Sketch: Last week's sketch from Mojo #104

This one is from the Stamp Set: Swan Song - this is such an amazing set - so versatile and such beautiful sentiments. This card is called: You Put a Song in my Heart:

Card Details:
Paper: Bazzil Basics pink from K&Company
Ink: Taken with Teal from SU! and copics and prismas to color in
Accessories: Spellbinders, ribbon from stash, gel pen from Rangers, dimensionals, pocket punch from Fiskars and heart punch from Martha Stewart. corner rounder

Here is another card make with the same Swan song set -but as you can see it has a total different feeling - these are some of my new FAVE papers - seriously YUMMY!!!!

Ink: Taken with Teal from SU! mixed with Stazon Black
Accessories: corner rounder, bling from K& Company, dimensionals

I love those colors in the papers above and so much fun with the Kaiser rub ons! LOVE it!!! Another thing that I have really been enjoying doing is to create a little notecard set that you can give as a gift - here is a 3 card noteset that I made using the Wishing You Well Stamp set - it is seriously one of my other fave sentiments sets from Verve - I LOVE Julee's fonts and the way that you can just add another sentiment and you get a whole other card makes it so easy to create a versatile gift set:

Card Details:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Early Bird
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Potter's Clay
Accessories: Spellbinders, ribbon from Taylored Expressions, corner rounder, bling from Kaiser Craft, liquid pearls, Threading Punch from Fiskars.

Happy Holiday Monday :)

Good Monday Morning Everyone,
The days are getting colder here and it feels like winter and the holidays are just around the corner! Its really been great to be part of the Christmas Stamping All Year Long group where we have been making cards since the beginning of the year - but somehow with the winter holidays approaching, I still feel way behind! lol! This week, Debbie from the Paper Garden, challenged us to use the paper piecing technique in our cards. This is one of my most fave techniques to use -its just fun to make the DP part of the image. I used Karen Giron's sketch that she created for Taylor's Birthday Bash celebration (check out all the deets here) to make this card:
Card Details:
Paper: Basic Grey
Ink: Adirondack Expresso
Stamps: Season's Sweetings from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Corner Rounder, spellbinders, copics, bling from K& co, brown grosgrain.

This has always been one of my fave images - little cuppies with holly on them - so sweet :) This is such a fun challenge - and I hope you join us this week for some paper piecing fun! Check out what awesome creations the rest of the DT have created with this challenge at the Christmas Stampin All Year Long blog!

Thanks for stopping by!!
Hugs!

KW Color Inspriation #54 - Miracles

Good Evening Everyone,

As soon as I saw Kristina's challenge for her Color Inspiration Challenge #55 this week - I had to play - I literally dropped the piles of laundry and went right to my craft corner - (and really it wasn't that hard to drop a pile of laundry :)

These colors are so uber fabulous and I adore those shoes!! I love it! The inspiration for these colors come from Kristina's bosses skirt and her bosses shoes - (lovin' those shoes!)

These colors reminded me of the Ambrosia papers from Basic Grey - so I pulled it out and made a quick card because I have still a ton of cleaning to do before we have a houseful of visitors tomorrow (literally 19 minutes - ) and snapped a quick pic - sorry about the quality of this picture - still trying to figure out nighttime photography (will take a better pic in the morning). I love the way that Jenn did the ribbons in this lovely card of hers - and totally wanted to try it! Thanks so much for the inspiration Jen :)

Card Details:
Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia papers
Ink: Really Rust from SU!, Martha Stewart Grey
Stamps: Faith and Hope from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Spellbinders, Kaiser pearls, Casa Collection ribbon, Butterfly punch from Martha Stewart, tacky tape

I am sorry that everything is so quick - I would love to play with these colors more if I have a chance. We are going to be having a lot of visitors coming in this weekend for the next two weeks - so I off I go back to those piles of laundry that I keep trying to ignore :) lol!

Thanks so much for visiting my little corner!!
Many hugs to all!!
Sankari :)

Happy Mother's Day Card

Good morning Everyone,

Its Friday here - and we are all in TGIF mode! How about you? Well, our friday plans are including a lot of birthday parties, spring cleaning and loads of laundry... (i know i know... is sooo exciting the life I lead!)

Last night, my DH and I had a movie night and he finally watched Twillight with me (I already had watched it - but have been wanting to see it with him) - it was fun to watch a movie together and chillax a little after the insane week that we have been having! Since I had already watched the movie, I worked on a card while we watched (that still counts as a date night right? lol!) and worked on this beautiful Verve Sketch from Julee. I am simply in love with the Fresh Flowers stamp set from Taylored Expressions- and had to play along using this beautiful set.

I especially love love love the window stamp in this set. I cut with an exacto knife each of the window panels out and then covered it with vellum afterwards. I love the translucent feeling of it - espcially that you can kinda see what is behind the windows when the windows are closed - it is such a labor of love process :)

here is a better shot of what the windows look like open -

Card Details:

Paper: Basic Grey - Ambrosia
Stamps: Fresh Flowers from Taylored Expressions
Ink: Rose Red from Stampin Up!
Accessories: button, button brads from Making Memories, liquid pearls, paper crimper, vellum, dimensionals
Movie watched: Twillight :)

I had so much fun making this card ! And I am so happy its Friday! What are your Friday plans?Hope all of you are doing well!!!

Thanks so much for visiting my little corner!!!
Ciao for now!
Sankari :)
