Last Post for this Decade! (was that a bit too dramatic :) lol!

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Can you believe that this is the last day of this whole decade and that a whole new decade is opening up tomorrow (or in some parts of the world - it already has!) Well, I am busing writing down my New Year's Resolutions and trying to make sure I can actually do it for the whole year - and maybe a whole decade!

But first - a fun little card that I am giving to a friend of mine for the New Year :) I LOVE this sentiment from the Chillax stamp set from Taylored Expressions that says: "When life gives you limes, make Margaritas :)" - that always brings a smile to my face and I Love the fonts and the images in this cute little stamp set. I used Taylor's sketch from TESC 95 for this card:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Prism cardstock and scrap stash
InK: Memento Tuxedo Black and Cottage Ivy
Accessories: corner rounder, double scallop punch, ribbon from stash, circle punches from CM, and mini scallop punch from EK success and glaze pens from Sakura

Are you getting ready for some New Year's Eve fun? What are your plans? I think we are going to do something simple with some friends and one of my favorite traditions is to re-read my journal entries from the past year and write down all of my resolutions for the new year in my brand new journal :) - its such a great way for some introspection and a great way to wake up tomorrow with a feeling of freshness, newness, hope and gratitude!

Today I am also the hostess for the Stamp a Sweet Impression blog for Taylored Expressions today - where I created a little Framed Fridge magnet - it is one of my New Year's resolution to de-clutter our house - and I thought I would start with our fridge (one of the main places that our clutter seems to be drawn to like magnets ;).

Here is a little peek of my project:

Please stop by the
to see more!!!!

Thank you dear friends for visiting my blog today!

Before you head out into cyberspace - I just wanted to wish each of you the happiest of New Year's and that it is filled with love, laughter, joy, bliss, fulfilled dreams, being with your loved ones, prosperity and deep contentment!!!!

Cheers to an amazing New Decade!!!!!!!
2010 - here we comeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Fabulous Fall Key Ingredients Blog Hop!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Taylor has done it again! You have to check out the Fabulous Fall Key Ingredients Kits being offered in limited quantities at a spectacular discount. Today my cards feature the Paisley and Petals kit and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors in this kit along with the awesome puffy embellishments!!! I found this kit really fun to play with because just adding a little embellishment like these cute puffy stickers makes it so easy to whip up a card!!! I made three cards super quickly with this set - here is the first one:

I always find it hard to make "man cards" (actually just saying the words "man card" is totally making me laugh :))) but I love that the papers in this set are versatile to create cards that are masculine as well! I made this card for a dear friend for his birthday using the Boys Will Be Boys set:

Here is a second card that I made using the new set that Taylor released this month called Sweet Indulgence: I love that Cuppie is having a chance to relax! I used the little puffy embellishment to create a little frame around the word relax and then added some brads to it - super peasy easy!!!

The last card that I made is using one of my fave sets called: Chillax - I used the window frame puffy embellishment to create this little window for the lemonades (the sentiment is my fave! If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!!)

The papers are super fun and are so easy to work with and the matching cardstock that goes with them are perfect - there is a ton more of papers in this set and I can't wait make more cards with them!!

Taylor is releasing 4 total Fabulous Fall sets today!!! And get them quick - because they are available only for a limited time and when they are gone - they are gone! I can't wait to get some too!!! Here are all 4 that Taylor is releasing today and check out all the Baker's Dozen chefs that are sneaking peeks of these yummy sets!!!!

Petals and Paisley -- my dear friend Donna has some amazing peeks with this awesome set!!!
Morning Medow - Charmaine and Denise have created some yummy magic with this set!!!
Penelope's Potpurri - Taylor & Karen G. have created some awesome creations with this one!!
Winnie's Walls - check out Karen Motz and Jodi Collins beautiful creations with this set!!!

I am off to shop!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
Hope you are having a FABULOUS day!!!!
Big hugs!

A Bevy of Challenge Cards - well - okay just 4 :)

Good Morning Everyone,

This week has been flying by - I can't even handle it! And speaking of "handling this" - I love the slogan from the Color Throwdown  ladies: Can You Handle this!?! I loved these soft colors that we have for this week's  color challenge- aren't these colors just so sweet! I immediately thought of a baby card ....
and so I made two - one for a boy and one for a girl - one of each just in case I need a quick card - and these were super quick cards - literally 7 minutes each - crazy! I used the sketch that PaperCraftPlanet is featuring this week.
Card Details:
Ink: Bordering Blue from SU! and I forgot what kind of pink from SU!
Accessories: booties from stash, spellbinders, cuttlebug embossing folder, corner rounder, Kaiser,  ribbon from stash

THanks ladies for the fun colors!!! The next color challenge that I did was one that my good friend Diana Gibbs created this week - she has her own color challenge! So I had to play along to support my chickie!!! Here are her fun colors for her Color Challenge #1

And here is my card for her challenge - I made this card using one of my new fave sets from Taylored Expressions: Chillax :) This is made for a good friend of mine who just started a new job and I wanted to give it to her on Friday (today :) - so that she good have a Chillaxin TGIF :)

Card Ingredients:
Ink: Old Olive from SU!
Accessories: liquid glaze, stickles, Kaiser rhinestones, circle cutter from CM, copics

Okay and one more challenge (actually two) - this is for Julee's awesome Mojo Monday sketch 101 and  I also used the Limited Supplies challenge this week over at SCS which was: chocolate paper of some sort, a butterfly, a birthday type card and it was to be a money holder as well - so here is everything:
and here is my card using the Beary Special Stamp set and sentiment from Taylored Expressions - it has a pocket for some moola in the inside (what is so sad is that when I went to take a pic of the card and was looking for some moola - all I could find was a dollar bill! okay - need to go to the bank!)

Card Details:
Paper: SEI papers
Ink: Stazon Black
Accessories: Spellbinders, martha punch, corner rounder, white gel pen, Medows punch from CM, ribbon from stash, stickles

I had so much fun making these cards - the colors and images were so fun to work with and more than anything - I loved having some time to create something - this week has been so hectic and I really am always amazed at how therapeutic it is to craft! (the more stress - the more cards!!! ha!)

Thanks so much for visiting my corner :) Have a go at all these challenges out there!
Big hugs to all!!!
Sankari :)

PS- Have a chillaxin friday ya'll!!!!

You're so Smooth!

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

I canNOT even begin to express the full on school busy-ness that has encompassed each day of this week - from driving back and forth from dr.s appts, filling in a ton of papers, creating checklists and then creating more checklists - and slowly crossing things off - to finally today seeing the little wee ones head off to school - wow! what a week - and its only wednesday!!!

Here is a pic of my two wee ones heading off to school - can't believe my little DD is old enough - how did that happen - feels like she was just learning to crawl the other day! Last night we got them to bed early to get them ready for the big day today so I had a few minutes to scrap - and was so excited - I made two cards with the same materials. One of my fave images from the Chillax set that Taylor's just released is this cute cute blender and smoothie cup! I LOVE how fun the image is and the sentiment" You're so smooth" cracks me up :)

I used Taylor's most recent TECC sketch #79 for this card:

Here is the SCS sketch 243 for this week - and I used what I had lying around from the card above to create the same kind of card but with this week's sketch:

I loved how easy it was to create these cards - I tried to keep everything simple and quick - Here is a picture of both the cards together:

Card Details:
Paper: K&Co Martha Stewart and stash
Ink: Taken with Teal SU!
Accessories: Accordian ribbon from Taylored Expressions, spellbinders, bling Kaiser craft, circle cutters from CM, copics, liquid glaze, corner rounder

I can't wait to make some more - but for right now - my laundry is calling - right now is the time that I SO wish I could wiggle my nose like Genie and all the chores would get done!

I hope you have some time to Chillax today!!!
Thank you so much for visiting my little blog!
Big hugs to all!
Sankari :)

MARGARITA MADNESS!

Here is a fun Margarita Madness card "Cheers" using the Chillax stamp set and using the SCS Sketch 40 . I loved stamping these fun Margaritas and coloring in the different flavors and then adding some clear glaze to make it all glass-y.

Here is a close up of the glasses and the bling and the rub ons:

Ink: Stazon' Black
Accessories: K&Co rub ons and bling, ribbon from stash, circle cutter from CM, EK success punch, orange stickles, dimensionals, spellbinder's die

If you haven't tried Taylor's Perfect Packages - you have to check them out - they come folded flat and have strong magnetic clasps for closure and are a snap to decorate - and you can put whatever you would like in them like: giftcards, chocolate, knick knacks, etc. I went with the chocolate route - because.... well.... its chocolate!!! I used the papers in the Berries and Cherries Key Ingredients to decorate it along with the sweet flower and strawberry image in the Berries and Cherries Stamp set:

Here's what it looks like when you open it up --- yum!!!
(Maybe I should give myself the present! ha!)

Details:
Ink: Stazon Black
Accessories: Spellbinders, bling, dimensionals, ribbon from stash, color pencils and of course Chocolate!

Check out the  perfect packages  and also all the different favor and treat boxes and bags that Taylor has - its really such a great thing to have on hand and decorate when you need a quick thank you or birthday present, etc.

6 x 6  CHILLAX-'in'  LAYOUT

I snapped this pic of my kiddies on the porch having strawberry popsicles after a hard day of riding bikes and swimming (oh the hard life of a kid!) - I loved this picture of them just relaxin and chillin' --- also known as CHILLAXIN' :) on the porch with their popsicles. I couldn't wait to use this sentiment from the Chillaxin' Stamp Set for my layout! I used the Scrappy Sunday sketch from Jen Tapler this week from PaperCraft Planet for this layout:

Here is a close up look at the sentiment and the details:

And then thing that I LOVE LOVE LOVE about making these 6 x 6 layouts is that they are simple and quick! AND that I can display them right away in our living room for all to see using Taylor's calendar stand. The kids love seeing themselves!
