Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #52 - Mrs Doubtfire

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Happy World Card Making Day!!! And to celebrate this, our challenge blog: Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge (where we take a different movie each week and then make a card inspired by it) will be are featuring the 1993 movie: Mrs. Doubtfire (which has been a popular movie to guess during the Friday Night sneak peeks for so long - that we decided that we should do it!!!!). This Oscar winning movie (for best make up) is the inspiring love story of a father for his children and how he figures out ways to take care and be with them. It is a wonderful comedy and such an inspiring movie of love, family and laughter. The challenge requirement this week was to create a card with a pocket or a tag (in honor of Robin Williams character who surprises us with his amazing character of Mrs. Doubtfire - transforming from one person into a completely different person.

So, for today's Mrs. Doubtfire card, I wanted to make an apron card in honor of Mrs. Doubtfire's apron (although I didn't make it very prim and proper, :) I created two little pockets in the apron for a little tag message - one that reads: Magically Delicious (in honor of Robin Williams character Daniel's attempt to transform into Mrs. Doubtfire - and the other sentiment reads: Let's Get together (in honor of his determination to keep his family together - even as he and his wife figure out how life after divorce).

Card Details:
Paper: Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice
Ink: Potter's Clay Memento Ink
Stamps: Year of Sweet Sentiments from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: threading punch from fiskars, eyelets, corner chomper, brads from Taylored Expressions, gold gel pen from Sakura, xacto knife, ribbon from stash and Karen Foster mini charms.

Here is a closer look at these super sweet charms (Michelle and Laurie, if you girls are reading this - I absolutely LOVE these charms!!! and you guys rock!)

This movie is simply hilarious (seriously the last scenes in the movie had me snorting laughing!) and more than anything - it gives me a feeling of being grateful for the blessings that we have, the importance of laughter and leaves me inspired to always see the silver lining in every situation!

Please check out all the fun details and all the card yumminess over at the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge blog!!!

We can't wait to see your fun surprise pocket cards!
Big hugs!
Sankari :)
