Home is Where the Heart Is - 3 card series

Hi Everyone,

I have been running like a chicken without a head - kinda - its been simply so crazy busy - but in a good way - I honestly don't know how the days are flying so fast! We just had a get together tonight for 3 very sweet families who are leaving our small town and are moving to other parts of the US. The Indian community in our town is so very sweet - and close - and so it was a bitter sweet joy to come together to celebrate this new chapter that is opening up for these families but a sad one for us as we will feel the void when these families move.

I created three cards for everyone to sign at the party - because it was for everyone to sign - I made this card a little bit bigger : 6x6 (or so :) and used the super sweet sweet Love is Everywhere from Taylored Expressions with the March Key Ingredients kit that features the awesome papers from MME Stella Rose (Gertie). You can check out more about the March Key Ingredients here - a great a way to get everything in one place (Cardstock, DP, ribbon, embellishments and bling!) I tried to keep the layout simple so that all the beautiful designs on the DP could be seen - and popped up the sentiment, trees, and image panels with dimensionals and finished it off with some liquid pearls. Here is a picture of all three cards:

I kept the layout the same -but changed up the papers a little bit along with the DP for trees and grass. Here is another picture of the set of three cards:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: MME - Stella Rose from the March Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions
Stamps: Love is Everywhere stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Bahama Blue, Rose Red ink
Accessories: Scallop and circle punch for trees, Nesties (labels and scalloped nestie), liquid pearls, MS edger punch and ribbon from stash.

I don't usually share pictures other than cards here - but I wanted to share a special picture from our Farewell Party tonight - it was such a joy to have everyone sign it and to give it to the families who were leaving - so bittersweet .This picture was a difficult one to capture - so many families and little ones all having to stay still - but so worth it!!!

Feeling very grateful for all the different kinds of families that we have here - families by blood, by friendship, of the heart - so very sweet!

Thank you so much for stopping by today - Hope that your Monday starts off
a wonderful week of joy!
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Very interesting post. You have loads of family and friends to have such a large farwell party. How nice for you, yet sad to have you move away. As always your cards are stunning. I love how you had everyone sign them.

My husband and I kept a guest book so we could see who visited and when. Over the years we found it so nice. Maybe you could do the same, especially since you will have visitors coming to visit you.

Good luck with the move.

Your cards are so sweet...Looks like a wonderful (bittersweet) weekend. The good news is that technology makes distance so much easier these days. Hugs, Sweet Sankari! xoxo
