Feb. Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions are here!!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Its the 20th of the month and that means that Taylor is releasing a new Key Ingredients kit in her store! This month's Key Ingredients is SO FABULOUS! Seriously - this is a must have set!

For those of you who are not familiar with Taylor's Key Ingredients - this is a great way to receive an amazing collection of designer paper, card stock, coordinating ribbon and accessories on a monthly basis all at a great value! All the work is already done for you - so no stress in finding that perfect ribbon to coordinate! Taylor provides a great way to store all of your monthly KI ingredients and there is a wonderful new blog just for the Key Ingredients that even has its own special monthly challenge!!! You can read more about the benefits of the Key Ingredients kit on the blog here!

This month, half of the Baker's Dozen and received the Feb. Key Ingredients which is all about Black and White with a pop of color (seriously, the accents, ribbon and colors are fantastic!) So we thought it would be fun to create a set of notecards that are mostly black and white with a pop of color. I designed a notecard set of three cards using the Discover Your Wings Stamp set:
The Discover Your Wings stamp set is part of the TE giving tree
program - $7 from the sale of each set is donated to the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation and as you might have seen yesterday on Taylor's blog, she is hosting a card drive to benefit the Neo-Natal Unit at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls SD. The dragon fly at this medical center is a special symbol of hope and cards with dragonflies are given to families who have lost their newborns either in delivery or in the early stages of life. You can be part of this card drive by donating cards with dragonflies on it. Taylor is creating such a wonderful dragonfly card drive and just by sending a card to the hospital - you could be entered to win a gift certificate from the Taylored Expressions Store! Please check out all the details on Taylor's blogpost from Friday that you can see here.

Project #1 - Notecards - set of Three:
My first project is a set of three notecards that I created all using this beautiful stamp set with a pop of color. I used Taylor's Friday Sketch #101 for these three cards:

And here are each of the cards above shown individually. I love the sentiments in this stamp set - they are so inspiring and the images are so easy to use - just stamp, glitter and voila! :)

Project # 2 - Thanks for being my friend :)
I absolutely LOVED all of the different ingredients in this Key Ingredients Kit - seriously beautiful papers, and those Buttons are perfect!! They go with the ribbons SOOOO perfectly!!! I HAD to create another card to show you the flowers and buttons that also come with this Key Ingredients set (I love these flowers - they are very sturdy, and strong and have a perfect little set in the middle where you can place a button!) I used pink as my pop out color with the sentiment from the Sweet Occasions stamp set and one of Taylor's older sketches (will be back later with a link):
You can see some of the different black and white designer papers that are part of this set - and even after making all these cards - I have a TON of supplies left over!! Can't wait to use up every single delicious drop of this set!

Project #3 - The Most beautiful things in the World are felt with the heart - Cinema Challenge:
My last card I made using this fabulous Key Ingredients set is for the Cinema Saturday Challenge (where each Saturday we pick a movie from which to create a card that is inspired by that movie). This week's movie is the Romeo/Juliet inspired movie called Tristan and Isolde with the Challenge Requirement to create a trifold card. The papers in this set just fit perfectly with some of the Celtic work in this movie so I created this with the sentiment from the Discover Your Wings Stamp set:

This paper reminds me of Celtic work in the movie (there are numerous gated references in the movie (hidden passages and such):

Here is the inside:
And a close up of the sentiment:

I just absolutely enjoyed every single minute of creating all of these projects with this wonderful Key Ingredients set!!! And guess what else? Taylor has something new that she is sharing with us today! Monogram Downloads!!! These are awesome - they are so easy to use - and come in a TON of different options with sizes with the punches we have - so its already to go! Check out all the details on Taylor's blog and you might see some Marvelous Monograms as you surf the rest of the Baker's Dozen who are showing off some amazing creations with this set - I can't wait to surf over and see them!!!

and of course:

Thanks so much for stopping in today!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
Happy Hugs!
Sankari :)
